  1. I think I liked this episode more when I first watched it. I don't hate it, but I'm likely to just watch the windmill/rainbow Rainbow Dash part, if I watch any of it, and then move on during a run-through where I sort of listen and watch episodes. When I first watched it, I did think Twilight knowing what to do to handle the Ursa Minor was pretty cool.
  2. I have mixed feelings, but I lean toward like. I find Pinkie Pie rather annoying, not particularly in this episode but in general. I am a little bothered by the chase after the opening since Rainbow clearly wants to be left alone and has already been established as being super fast but okay, whatever, she's caught, and they start getting along later with their prank bonding. My favorite part of that is at the pond where Pinkie convinces Rainbow NOT to prank Fluttershy and they playfully prank each other instead. Watching Rainbow have fun flying and catching up with Gilda was fun too. I didn't develop any specific love nor hate for Gilda, perhaps some annoyance and frustration. It was nice to see Rainbow admit she did the pranks and made the effort to double-check Gilda was okay with them even if Gilda didn't know. I also liked that Rainbow asserted that she didn't like her old friends mistreating her new friends. I'm glad these three (Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Gilda) made up later in season 6.
  3. I have checked it out, hope to post in there myself sometime, and I will follow it, yes! Me too, thanks.
  4. This episode is okay. It has Rainbow Dash and she makes her cute "so awesome" face and then glare later, plus her fondness for trying out some new tricks and spins. I enjoy her enthusiasm. As for the rest, it helps us get to know both Applejack and Twilight as characters a bit more. On some recent repeat runs while I'm listening as background noise more than watching, it just a tad odd that Applejack is so stubborn at refusing help after the preceding episode, Ticket Master, shows her thankful for Twilight's help and annoyance at Rainbow's refusal. But then, I guess we could chalk that up to the episodes not necessarily being chronological and/or that this particular point of time is a matter of pride on AJ keeping her promise to her brother about doing it all by herself. On a personal level, I can relate to hesitating to ask for help but not so much refusing it.
  5. Not one of my favorites, but it does have some cute Rainbow Dash with her little strut in her narrative and the part where she's trying to act sweet with the cloud opening and giving Twilight some sunlight. Admittedly, I don't care for much else in the episode but hurray for all the friends getting tickets in the end.
  6. Thanks for the welcome all. Much obliged, thanks for the info.
  7. I liked the pilot well enough when I saw the show to keep going onto the next episodes, so I always viewed that as having done its job. I wanted to see more of the magic and the characters and just what they would do next. They're episodes I'm happy to re-visit too. So maybe not love, but like. I have a wallpaper that's a giant slideshow of Rainbow Dash pictures, and my daughter asks about what's happening in them sometimes. Today, she saw one with Rainbow Dash busting one of the clouds. So I explained it, we watched a clip, and then she just wanted to watch the whole first episode again, so we did.
  8. Greetings all, I'm Cathy, or Cat. I recently caught up on MLPFIM episodes on Netfix back in October/November and somehow ended up in a huge Rainbow Dash obsession. She is my favorite character. She was just barely my favorite in 2012 but here in 2018 and now 2019, she just makes me very happy in a new kind of way, so that she's now my favorite by a large margin. I've been lurking on these forums for awhile, reading posts mostly in the Show Discussion topics. It was thanks to this forum that I found RarityDash, whose reviews and reactions I appreciate and a fanfic that I really liked, Twilight's List. For whatever it's worth, I'm actually partial to the Flutterdash ship but RariDash and TwiDash are enjoyable too. Really, I'm on the lookout for certain Rainbow Dash stuff that resonates with me. Before this newfound RD obsession, I was actually quite obsessed with Devil Jin from the Tekken franchise. And just an additional FYI, I go by SonKitty online as well. I don't imagine other users here would know me from that but just in case, figured I'd mention it. It's been quite awhile since I've been an active participant in a forum, but here's hoping to a grand time, or at least a pleasant one. I couldn't find the info anywhere so pardon my ignorance but how does one go about getting an avatar? Do I need a certain post count or rank to be able to do that?
