Yeah probably, tho things like bridles make the fashion point hard cos i cant see a human fashion equivalent for a bridle since saddles are basically treated like corsets

Throughout the show we saw several peices of horse tack (the term used for the equipment horses use such as saddles ect) saddles and collars mainly and in pre show material, more tack was going to be featured such as bridles, but that got cut due to it being similar to BDSM gear as anyone who's seen lewd fan art they were right to be cautious so tack got restricted to the occasional saddle, or bridle mainly seen on rarites mannequins, with the most common being the collars ponies wear when pulling carts, but i believe that most if not all of real life tack can be put in the mlp world and have explanations why sentient ponies would use it. First saddles, we already know that saddles are used both for fashion as well as to keep warm as well as parts of royal guard uniform possibly to help keep the armour together, but there is other reasons why saddles would be used, ones with stirrups for instance (footholds on the saddle meant to help a rider stay on) could be used to help carry shopping bags by tieing them to stirrups and for the more bulky western style saddles (the ones with the raised horn and two straps) would see extensive use by farm ponies mainly to help carry things on the ponies back like heavy hay bales or jugs, but also to help secure cattle by tieing one end of a rope to them and tieing the other end to the saddles horn (a kind of raised prong on most western saddles) to help keep the cattle from getting away. Next up bridles, they're are many uses for these from helping secure headgear to a ponies head from anything to dental headbraces or pony guard helmets, to potential fashion (early material shows rarity in one as well as all the mannequins at carousel boutique), reins are a bit more specific either used to help restrain prison ponies, or as used in thereputic riding. To go off on a tangent i belive that thereputic riding exists in the pony world as it does irl for the same reason as we do it, to help ponies who require physical therepy, in this, the pony being ridden, most likely a trained specialist of sorts, would wear a saddle with stirrups and a bridle with reins, not a bit though we'll get to those now. Bits would exist also, but in a rather different form, instead of cold metal ones meant to control a ridden pony, they would instead be rubber ones given to teething foals as a teething toy. Finally draft tack harness would be used for the simple reason of it would more easily secure the pony to the cart in the case of heavier loads this might be essential as for blinders they'd be potentially used in the sport of chariot racing where the pony driving the chariot and the pony pulling work together, with the blinders being a factor of that. I mainly came up with these theories mainly cos i dont really like how tack is automatically BDSM in many peoples eyes when applied to sentient ponies, while theres nothing wrong with doing that im not saying don't do that, i do like thinking about practical not lewd reasons for tack to exist.

So far I've been loving the new designs direction of g5 all the ponies look good but naturally some areas better than others here's my ranking of the mane five. 1. Izzy Moonbow Yeah call me predictable but i just cant help but love her design, from her wavy mane to her color scheme (i like purple so im probably biased lol) and her cute personality shes easily my fave pony of g5 so far 2. Pipp Petals Pipps pretty good around good color scheme, good design and she has one of my fave things about g5, to go on a tangent her promo shows here with a phone but the phones got a thing on the back to slot a hoof into so a pony could hold it, call me weird but i love little bits of world building like that you can see it too in sunnys room but we'll get to her later, to get back on subject Pipps an all round good character from what we've seen so far 3. Hitch Trailblazer Hitch's design is pretty good too about as good as Pipps, the reason he ranks lower is cos hasbro made a big deal about promoting him as the first male mane character and im worried that the movie and later show will constantly bring his gender into it, hopefully they won't and hitch will be a genuinely good character and not be just some token male stereotype. 4. Sunny Starscout and Zipp Storm I'm ranking these two together cos they have the same issue i have with their designs but with different versions of the issue, to me they both look like OCs but in different ways, Sunny has the look-alike problem in that she shares a colour scheme very similar to scootaloos and her saddle bag just seems to me an effort to make her look different from scootaloo, Zipp has the overdesigned eye sore problem i see in a lot of OCs, with her multicoloured mane and especially her multicoloured wings i know multi coloured manes are common in MLP like with rainbow dash and celestia ect, but Zipps multicolour design has no theme behind it for these reasons Sunny and Zipp are my least favourite designs so far. Please keep in mind im not saying that any of these opinions are definitive and set in stone theres a decent chance they'll change over time, and as for me finding Sunny and Zipp my least favourite designs so far that doesn't meant they're bad they're alright actually, i personally find the fact that my least favourite designs are alright shows that we're in for a good generation in terms of design.

First of all thanks for loving my headcanons so much i always thought i was weird for thinking about everything. As for your theory about some griffs/seaponies not being able to transform it is a viable theory, there could always be people who just don't agree with the magic physically and it could make them very sick, or even mentally, i remember reading somewhere a theory that hippogriffs have a form of body dysmorphia, which is why they hold glad to be a hippogriff days every weekend.

I really love the hippogriffs, my OC is one and everything, i also love thinking about even the tiniest bits of the MLP world, so i think a lot about relatively mundane hippogriff headcanons. Like for example you can tell wether or not if a hippogriff is permanently on mt aris, or goes in between there and seaquestria by their horse shoes, perma griffs have metal nailed in shoes as a near necessity due to mt aris' rocky terrain, while seaponies visiting have to wear rubber clip on shoes as ordinary steel shoes cant transform with them, for that theres special shoes made from a transforming alloy typically reserved for the military and nobles. Another example is that a fair few hippogriffs were really shaken up by the storm kings siege and go further than just to stay permanently on Mt Aris, they can't even stand being submerged in water as it gives them trauma, so the majority of griffs sole method of cleaning themselves is preening, to enhance this theres special preening shampoo in the form of small beads the size of peas, the griff pops one in their beak swirls it with their tongue til it turns to foam and uses that to supplement their natural saliva, as for the foam its non toxic and safe for consumption obviously. And thats just 2 headcanons I'd love to hear about anymore from any if you reading, I'd love to discuss small headcanons about hippogriff society
