  1. I don't do this to movies I care for. If someone turns on the new Transformers or other bland action film I'll have it on as "background entertainment." Usually this happens when someone else wants to watch it. Example: My brother wanted to watch Green Lantern which I "watched" with him. I didn't stay glued to the screen. I browsed forums, played Xbox, texted on the phone, etc. I watched the main action scenes to see the cool special effects. I am overly critical and hate most modern films. However, if you played an old favorite of mine such as Star Wars (is and always will be just a trilogy), Back to the Future, A Clockwork Orange, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, etc. I'll actually pay attention for the whole film! As for TV shows haha you expect me to watch TV? Unless its The Walking Dead, Dr. Who, or of course MLP:FiM then I keep it on just for the extra noise!
  2. Why hello Doctor! You seem to be a lucky bastard pony since I almost took that username! Then I decided on focusing on my own inner pony. Welcome to the Forums Doctor. I'm pretty sure there's no Daleks here to bother you, but beware, DON'T feed the parasprites!
  3. Top 5 Honorable Mentions: Killer7, Unreal Tournament, Gears of War, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Bioshock 2 (multiplayer only), and Ninja Baseball Batman! 5. Portal- it's portal... nuff said 4. Gauntlet Dark Legacy- Words cannot describe the hours my friends and I put into this game. 3. Zelda: Windwaker- Toss up between this and OoT, but Windwaker had such a big and beautiful world to it. 2. TimeSplitters 2- My favorite multiplayer shooter ever. There were SOOO many character models to choose from. There were monkeys, cowboys, space marines, snowmen, gingerbread men, weird fish robots, etc. I wish they'd reboot this franchise for Xbox 360. 1. Mother Trilogy (Mother 2/Earhbound)- My favorite game of all time would have to be Earthbound on the SNES. Mother 3 (JP exclusive GBA game) is nearly tied for it. Though it excels in atmosphere, it had a much smaller world and more disappointing story than Earhtbound. Plus Earthbound actually came to America!
  4. Currently playing through Saints Row 1 & 2 before I buy the Third this week. Other than that Gears of War 3 and perhaps a little Minecraft. I was thinking of breaking out the old Gamecube and buying a copy of TimeSplitters 2, Zelda Windwaker, Killer7, and Gauntlet Dark Legacy. My all time favorite GC games! Or replaying my absolute favorite Earthbound (Mother 2)! That game just gets to me and I love it!
  5. I haven't watched anime in a while... I like DBZ (DBZ Abridged as well haha), Naruto, Pokemon, Original YuGiOh (Yugioh abridged too), BoBoBoBoBoBoBo (just for the pure insanity!), and Bleach.
  6. My day was fine. Some Chinese principle is visiting my school on some exchange program which was cool. The assembly to get to meet the Chinese guy got me out of Chemistry! The rest was boring aside from our cardboard robot in my High Tech Lab class refusing to work properly and it's due next week! Other than that I can't wait for Friday since I'm buying Saints Row: The Third then!
  7. Well I can be a huge Critic at times, but my favorite talent of mine is my writing skills. My cutie mark would be a quil and paper type of ordeal I suppose.
  8. Home (minus family) dim lighting watching a marathon of Ponies, Everypony Radio faintly playing in the next room! There's a beautiful pegasister (I'm a hopeless romantic with a fairly specific fetish aren't I?) who is dressed up in a Pony themed outfit (I'm thinking Fluttershy for the lush pink hair ). Eating milk and cookies. While [redacted] some [redacted totally legal substance] for good measure! The rest I will let you fill in the blanks yourself. (Mind instantly goes NSFW!)
  9. That's an unfortunate simile. Now I'll be afraid of viruses when I get a hug!
  10. Aha! A discussion for the smarter ponies here! Like Ice up there ^ I got most of the references! Like Ice I'm also a high schooler (17 year old Junoir) and I'm only getting my first job here soon. I really haven't got much to go by, but I get what she's saying. I don't really find much anxiety in TOO many choices. I find anxiety in the fact that there are a lot of choices, but I don't seem to enjoy ANY of them! Perhaps I'm much too critical, but when it comes to selecting a game to play or movie to watch I see a vast library of trash that everyone else likes and a small section of quality that I enjoy. The self criticism I understand completely. I feel anxiety everyday when people tell me I have to go make something of myself. "Go to college!" "Join the Navy!" I hear a lot. I'm not cut out for the military since I cannot become faceless soldier #367. I know I cannot afford College and I'm not smart enough not a good enough student to get any kind of scholarship. These thoughts cause me to criticize myself which in turn causes anxiety. In a capitalistic society I feel that it's not everyone's supposed to make it. I feel its more like everyone (friends/family) expects you to make it, or rather they demand you make it! If I were to not go and get an education and just worked small jobs I will feel like I failed everyone's expectations. More ANXIETY! Guess if I win the gamble at being a successful published author (writing seems to be my only skill I seem to have that's worth something in this society) then I'll prove them wrong and hey, no pesky student loans!
  11. Add me and just explain that your a Brony from MLPF. Xbox LIVE: Stachioed Steam: Stachioed Those are the only systems I play online with. I do have a PS3, a Wii, and a DS, but I'm too lazy to find that information! EDIT: Oh how silly of me I forgot to mention that I play: Gears of War 3, Halo: Reach (well not so much anymore), and any of the 3 Saints Row titles. On PC I play TF2, CSS, GMod,Terraria, Minecraft, and SWTOR when it releases!
  12. Somepony here has had to have seen this movie and noticed the reference! But I voted for The Doctor!
  13. "Love" is a concept I'm still learning to understand. I understand "Tolerate" perfectly fine. There used to be a running joke between my friends that if I were to hug someone and say I tolerate you it was like being bestowed a great honor. I am a bitter man full of hate therefore tolerance is probably the best I could feel for another person. Then imagine a man who's hate for the world was like the burning rage of a thousand suns stumbles upon My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Ever since I've watched the show I've had a much more positive outlook on life! So instead of wanting to smite people where they stand with the angry fist of a god, I now learned a better option is to Love and Tolerate (Tolerate 99.9% of the time, but 0.1% Love is still progress).
  14. I Ponies when no ones looking! Still a closet Brony...
  15. I have a slide show as my desktop background that shuffles through all sorts of pictures every minute (probably not the best setting for battery life). The folder it goes through is filled with all sorts of Rage Comics, Memes, Pokememes, misc pictures, and some Pony stuff which is slowly taking almost half the folder. If only GiFs worked as Desktop Backgrounds I don't really Ponify anything else aside from my laptop. (though I am in the process of adding some Pony Mods to my TF2, GMod, Minecraft, etc) My MP3 player actually only contains 2 Ponified songs. Both from Lapfox Trax (Renard's Rainbow Dash Likes Girls (Stay Gay Pony Girl) and The Quick Brown Fox's Louder! Louder!!! Louder!!!!!!).
  16. I'm a fan of fan art and Cosplay where the artist/costume depicts the Pony as a human beings. It's like when a Brony would make a pony version of themselves but reversed. Though I did say... ...as for the Ponies in cannon Pony form I would say Fluttershy is the cutest, Rainbow Dash looks the coolest, etc. In which is a sense of attraction. Nothing on a romantic basis though. Not just because they're Ponies, but it's a kids show!
  17. I've caught a few references already. "Sonic Rainboom" episode had a subliminal Skittles "Taste the Rainbow" reference and slightly reference's Greek Mythology's Icarus (Rarity flies too high, her wings melt) The end of Season 2's pilot 2 parter, the celebration is slightly reminiscent of the ending celebration of Star Wars Episode 4. And just recently in the bowling alley in "Cutie Pox" there are three background characters designed off of The Big Labowski. In "Fall Weather Friends" Twilight's number for the race is 42 which I would've overlooked as coincidence, but Twilight's the nerdy one and 42 is a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference which is a pretty nerdy book/movie so the reference seems legit. There are more that I probably forgot or completely missed!
  18. Well I say the animation, but now that I think of it it reminds me of my childhood (I was raised primarily by women) I'm actually writing a review to explain this whole pony situation to friends/family/etc.
  19. I was going to buy a similar one to the first one at Hot Topic, but that Pinky one makes a much bolder statement about Bronies. Plus plus Pinky > Dash since 20% cooler < Infinitely More Awesome!
  20. Rainbow Dash chick? I'd hit love that like a Sonic Rainboom! I would've at least mentioned that they're looking 20% cooler than anyone else in the room! She would've been like...
  21. I haven't really told anyone about it aside from the few friends who read my blog. I plan to buy a Brony shirt and wear it without any warning, but also not paying too much attention to it. I figure being my school's only (as far as I know) Brony I better handle it safely. Just wear the shirt and act like its a completely normal thing (which it is). Who knows perhaps I'll meet some real life "closet" Bronies! ...or get ridiculed for a day for being the guy with the pony shirt.
  22. About a month ago. A friend and I made jokes about the new Brony fad and we agreed that I should review it on my blog as a joke. I went in feeling really skeptical at first but then I came back to my friend who complained about me spamming on Tumblr a bunch of pony goodness! Just goes to show that even the most skeptical people can become Bronies if they just give it a chance! (I have yet to convert him. Perhaps after the review!) Well I can see what you mean here I suppose. The title "Brony" has many definitions. For most people here it's defined as simply liking the show. However in other communities "Brony" can mean a lot of things, most definitions are not good definitions that often stereotype "Bronies" as man-children, homosexuals. or even worse Pony Rule 34 Fetishists! If only people could see that we are a culture that shouldn't be ridiculed.
