I actually have this thing called SpriteCraft and it will analyze any photo and will make a copy of it made out of minecraft blocks.Then,you can save the schematic for it and manually put it in your game with MCEdit.The problem is,if you put it on no "max height" and "no max width",it makes the most detailed and accurate minecraft version of it,but to have good detail,you need lots of blocks.I need to put it flat on the ground because if i put it standing up,it'll surpass the building limit in the sky and I have to put it in the ocean so it dosent run into a mountain or something.One time,it glitched and it put it on the bottom of the ocean.It destroyed all of the blocks beneath it and it stood at the top of the void.For those of you who don't know what the "void" is,its the space under bedrock.Nothing lives in the void.Another thing,it poked holes in several pools of lava and the lava started to flow onto the art!
