  1. I'm curious about what people think their ages are now that the movie is out.

They're adults surely? Hitch is definitely an adult as he is the sheriff of the town, and Sunny is probably around the same age since they were foalhood friends.

I think Izzy is the youngest and left Bridlewood as soon as she reached an independent age.

    Here are my presumptions.

    Hitch: 25
    Sunny: 23
    Zipp: 22
    Pipp: 19
    Izzy: 18

  2. My time to shine has come!

Sprout is my favorite My Little Pony character of all time, and one of my favorite fictional characters in existence.

He is the perfect blend of silly and funny while still being very complex when you really think about it.

He did bad things but he truly believed he was in the right because of the environment he was raised in--especially since he's a mommy's boy, and his mommy just so happened to be the pony who did the most brainwashing. He was thrown into a state of power when he had no idea what to do, and he took it too far. Do you remember when he first addressed the crowd and said there was no reason to be scared? Nopony listened to him, and they only listened when he told them what they WANTED to hear. He was terrified and needed the support of a mob and the Sprouticus Maximus to make him feel safe and protect his town. He legitimately believed unicorns and pegasi would kill everypony he knew if they got their magic back. He is childish, was only a threat for a few days, and learned his lesson after almost running over his mom and realizing the other pony breeds aren't dangerous.

I'm anxious for what the writers will do with him in the series. He looked genuinely remorseful after he was broken out of his madness, and I really hope he gets a redemption like Starlight Glimmer since I care about him so much. I'm worried they'll just use him as the butt of jokes though.

I hope we see a lot of him in the future. He has a lot of potential and his mannerisms are so endearing.

  3. Sure. I love cute animated movies, and A New Generation is perfect for me. I love the characters and animation so much.

I consider my interests in G4 and G5 as kind of separate things. I was already feeling a bit fizzled out of G4 before the G5 movie came out. Now I am absolutely obsessed with G5 and it also rekindled my love for Friendship is Magic. Even if I had never been a G4 fan before, I would still be a fan of G5.

  4. I do not hate any character or episode or major decision made throughout the series. A small selection of episodes are very boring and there are some minor characters I do not care for, but I do not have the energy to be angry about anything in this show.

Apple Bloom is one of my absolute favorite characters in the whole show.

My favorite duo dynamic is Rarity + Fluttershy, and my least favorite duo dynamic is Rarity + Applejack.

This is just my own personal taste but I'm not really interested in worldbuilding and lore. As long as I see ponies having cute moments on my screen, I'm happy.

Pony Life is just as enjoyable as Friendship is Magic to me, even if for different reasons.

In my personal preference, I overall like the movie and Rainbow Roadtrip style more than the FiM style.

When it comes to EQG: Rainbow Rocks, I like the Rainbooms' songs more than the Dazzlings' songs.

I love Flurry Heart. She's adorable and makes me smile.

Among many disliked episodes that I like, one of them is Princess Spike. I found that episode a lot of fun to watch (partially because it was humorous to me, but also because I loved all the art direction and background ponies and set designs).

These are just my own opinions and I don't think they are "correct" or anything--I fully understand and respect anypony who disagrees.

  5. A long time ago, I perceived the Mane 6 as teenagers for some reason ( around 14-17). Eventually, I realized they're definitely adults. :derp:

I believe that Rarity is the oldest because she was the only pony to have graying hair in The Last Problem, though I know that graying hair can happen at different ages in reality.

I think Twilight may be the youngest because of how the the rest of the Mane 6 seemed farther along in life than her (at the start of the series). Plus I like the idea of the "leader" being the youngest.

I think the ponies aged a few years over the course of the series, but here are the ages I generally think of them as, in order from oldest to youngest:

    Rarity: 25
    Fluttershy: 24
    Applejack: 23
Pinkie Pie: 23 (several months younger than AJ)
    Rainbow Dash: 21
    Twilight Sparkle: 20

With the Cutie Mark Crusaders, I used to think they were around 5-6, but there was that episode showcasing Sweetie Belle when she was ACTUALLY 5. However, she can't be more than a few years older than 5 in that episode, because she didn't seem to be self-aware looking back on how silly she looked in that make-up and outfit. So I think the CMC were all around 7-8 at the time of For Whom the Sweetie Belle Tolls.

  6. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony

    Rarity

How did you find MLP Forums?

I was recently reminded of its existence after it was mentioned in a Discord server.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony

I always liked My Little Pony since I was little but I resented G4 when it first came out for some reason. After S4 finished airing, I eventually watched a couple of episodes and found myself enjoying them. Then I watched the livestream premier of S5 back in the day and absolutely loved it. Now I have watched all the episodes multiple times and S5 is still my favorite season to this day!

Hello everypony, I'm an adult in my 20s and you can call me by my ponysona's name, Malarkey. I am a fan of all MLP gens (especially Generation 5) and I have come here in hopes of meeting cool folks, and discussing the G5 series when it eventually comes out. I still like Friendship is Magic and Pony Life too, of course! I just feel more connected with G5 because though it took me a while to warm up to G4, I've been infatuated with A New Generation and its characters from their start.

I'm a little eccentric but I strive to be compassionate and help anypony in ways that I can. My favorite G4 character overall is Starlight Glimmer and I relate to her more than any other fictional character.

Also, I must warn you that I am obsessed with Sprout because I find him an interesting, layered, cute, funny, and charming character. I used to get harassed a lot for liking him, so please don't be too mean!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

  7. Well, I'm sure there have been episodes I enjoyed more, but Filli Vanilli was my favorite for so long that it is the first episode that comes to mind when somepony asks about my favorite. It is a very cute, fun watch that never seems to get boring no matter how many times I view it. The song is super catchy, and Fluttershy has so many cute moments such as jamming out behind the curtain... oh, and the ending where she's dressed up as a Pony Tone and happily singing is one of the cutest scenes in existence. Furthermore, Rarity + Fluttershy is my favorite character duo dynamic and though it was heavily underused, this episode is a perfect example of it. I understand this episode has some notable flaws such as Pinkie being over-the-top as well as the questionable "You kinda sounded like a dude" joke, but it is overall extremely adorable and memorable for me.

Worst episode... Well I recently re-watched Non-Complete Clause; It was notably boring and never seemed to go anywhere during the entire runtime. However, it didn't bother me in the same ways it bothers other fans. I was thinking of answering Applejack's Day Off as my least favorite because not only is that boring, it's also painful to imagine that Applejack was silly enough to waste hours of her life doing meaningless things for her chores. However, as I thought about it, Applejack's Day Off DID have some good tidbits, such as the nice montage music and Rainbow Dash acting cute at the spa. So yeah, guess I'll settle on Non-Complete Clause, though it doesn't anger me or anything. It's just tiring and empty and I can't think of any significant redeeming qualities.
