  1. This is one of my favorite episodes of the show. I really liked the song and the montage of failures.
  2. I think that G5 itself can be considered one of the reasons why the MLP fanbase seems to be shrinking at such a rapid speed. One example is the very fact that G5 has basically overridden everything that G4 had built up. It can make watching MLP G4 content feel like a waste because of how G5 handled the continuity, driven by being part of the very same one. If G4 could be as great as it was, having first aired almost 3 decades after MLP started, G5 didn't need to be pushed as hard as it was to keep the franchise successful.
  3. The modern technology aspect still turns me off. I like how the 3 fillies in the episode have bows on their tails.
  4. I am feeling the kind of wonder you have when you find something you enjoy and you wonder why you didn't find out about it sooner. I felt that after discovering the Asassin's Creed game.
  5. I watched some episodes of G1 and G2. I listened to some songs of G3 a d G3.5. I liked how the G1 episode "Magic Paint" used the "solid as a rock-slide" pun and the "don't look into a gift horse's mouth" idiom.
  6. What if Sparky is the equivalent of Flurry Heart? What if he is from a lineage of royal dragons that are born with wings? What if he has wings because he was born with a special type of magic?

If the above is correct, what will happen to Hitch since he is Sparky's caretaker? Zipp might also be counted as Sparky's caretaker, so what will happen to her?

What if Sparky's parents are dead, and Hitch and Zipp are somehow pressured to act as Dragon King and Queen? Dragon puppet King and Queen?

Will Pipp fear the possibility that she will have to be the Queen of Zephyr Heights? Will Sunny struggle with the possibility that she will have to be the new sheriff of Maretime Bay?

  7. It's understandable how someone would try very hard to convince someone they love, especially a close family member, to live closer to them. This episode shows that while love can be suffocating sometimes, it also allows us to improve, but only if we make the choice. I enjoyed that this episode wasn't driven by a lack of proper communication but by someone's overeager or drastic well-meaning actions, like in Bird in the Hoof. I chose Bird in the Hoof as an example because
  8. I wonder if we are going to meet an animal that Hitch can't understand, simply because they don't talk at all, not because that is what their species is like, but just because that is how they are.
  9. With how much lore and talent came from MLP:FIM, it was easy to see how making G5 a soft reboot of G4 was going to do more harm than good.
  10. Does anyone here wonder if Tiktok is making it harder for them to watch MLP: FIM?

I do wonder because some time after I started using Tiktok, I noticed it became harder for me to finish an average MLP: FIM episode (22 minutes).

  11. Who's enjoying Equestria Girls more than MLP: FIM right now?

    :please:

  12. I would love to know if there were any relationships shown in MLP where the uncle or aunt was about the same age as their niece or nephew.

    Do you know any examples?

  13. My OC, Moon Ring.

She is a unicorn mare around the same age as Izzy, her niece, who calls her Belle.

She moved far away from her family when she came of age since she didn’t fit in with them.

She lives like a hippie but doesn’t think like one, and she is rather standoffish. She has a soft spot for certain ponies, like Izzy.

  14. Hitch songs are great. It feels rather strange for the audience to be able to hear what an animal speech-understanding pony is hearing when they are talking to a non-talking animal.
  15. I feel sad when I think about how the first installment of MLP, Escape of Midnight castle, was the darkest one of the whole first generation. G1 as a whole was sweet, adventurous and rather average. Pony Tales was pretty average, and it wasn't that well-known. G3 practically dug a sugary grave that G4 was never able to fully escape from. G4 was a bomb that impacted so much, and it was definitely better that it ended before it could deteriorate into something like the New Spongebob Cartoons.
  16. I wish that they made the ponies' mouth shapes smaller and their snouts more sculpted like Zipp's. They would have already been improvements even if they still hadn't been drawn or animated like real snouts. The hooves are still an issue because ponies in MLP always had thick legs, and TYT's skinny hooves continue to remind me of deer hooves more than pony hooves. For me, the issues with both the faces and hooves make watching TYT painful to look at for more than its runtime. Also, the backgrounds are pretty, but the character designs really clash against them, like funny permanent marker drawings over nature-themed watercolor paintings.
  17. I liked this episode, though Diamond Tiara's previous flat and ruthless characterization made it feel quite contrived. I feel like Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's journey would've felt more complete if the higher-ups had let there be an episode/s about the aftermath.
  18. For me, it feels that having G5 in the same continuity as G4 is one of the worst and laziest choices ever made in the name of the MLP Franchise. I don't mean to belittle the good parts of G5, but that sort of opinion seems to be quite common among fans.
  19. *Fanfic idea

Shortly after Zipp becomes Hitch's deputy, she becomes Sparky's mother figure, who researches very hard with Hitch on how to take care of the baby dragon properly.

Sunny has a possessive side towards her loved ones and gets very jealous of Zipp becoming so close to Hitch and Sparky. She also gets jealous of Sparky and all the attention he gets, having grown up without a mother figure and having everyone except her father doubting her unity beliefs.

  20. I think what went right with Hitch was his color scheme, his charm in the episode "Foal Me One," and him caring for Sparky, the newborn baby dragon.
