  1. I like how the MLP:ANG movie showed that Sunny having a tendency to nonchalantly ignore rules for her own goals, to the point wherein if Hitch wasn't Sunny's friend, she would've had been arrested several times.

It would have been interesting for G5 to have the protagonist to be a character who has good intentions, but needs to learn to stop depending on her friend/s to protect her from the consequences of her reckless actions.

What do you guys think of this idea?

You hear that @Totally Lyra? I knew your favorite pony was reckless! :Posey-grimace:

I agree. Sunny also seems to be very one-track minded like during WInter Wishday.

  2. I feel like releasing the Mark Your Mark episodes, especially the ones with mystery plotlines, on a weekly basis would've worked better and done them more justice.
  3. The last movie I watched was "How to train your dragon 2."
  4.

I imagined that Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship would have Wallflower Blush as a better character if one of its lessons were "Words do affect others, for better or worse, regardless of intent."

    Spoiler

Here, Sunset would have made Wallflower a laughing stock when she was still a bully.

After she reformed, the students, including the gang, still teased Wallflower. They meant it lightheartedly, but they still didn't listen when she told them to stop.

This made Wallflower furious, being a nobody whom nobody listened to.

She turned that anger towards Sunset, swearing to ruin her friendships with the gang for making her a laughing stock in her bullying days.

  5. I like how in the episode, Cadence told Twilight that having Flurry Heart, her rumbustious alicorn baby, gave her a new sense of assertiveness. This episode showed character development in Cadence and a new positive side to Flurry Heart's character, which is that her unfounded nature makes other characters stronger in ways they never imagined before.
  6. I feel like TYT's animation suffers from the costs of MYM's 3D animation. Like, things could've been more cost-effective if MYM was 2D animation and TYT was 3D animation. Sometimes, I feel like the higher-ups had planned 3D animation to affect the plot writing, giving a reason for G5 to not thrive towards standards similar to those of the previous installments, particularly those of G4.
  7. I feel like this episode uses the kind of plots that short stories are meant to have. The plot is self-contained, and it focuses on a personal challenge for the character. I loved the video game reference. I liked how Posey was actually saved from disaster in the episode.
  8. I imagined that Cozy Glow never had parents because she was doll or something that was brought to life.

She was "born" as a filly when Granny Smith was still a filly herself. She never visibly aged, though her personal style never changed.

She is partially made of evilness fueled dark magic, meaning she literally cannot exist without being evil.

  9. I really like the idea of G5 being in a completely different dimension from G4, but because of dimensional leaks, history and such had gotten lost and mixed up between dimensions, leading Sunny's father to believe that G4's history belonged to their dimension when it really didn't.

This would mean that Sunny's father died before he could learn the truth.

Based on the photo found on the page above, I imagined Hitch having a performing cousin named Stargaze Trailblazer, who has the appearance of Hitch's original design.

Hitch and Stargaze's dads are brothers, which is why they have the same last name.

Stargaze's nickname is Gee, pronounced like the letter G.

  11. I find the color schemes too similar to each other—too much pink, blue, and purple. I cannot tell if Izzy is covered in paint in the photo, but if she isn't, I love how her fur pattern makes her look like she is. Here are my opinions. Zipp here is too pink. She looks good in white. Pipp here looks too generic. I love her current 1920s-style hairpiece headdress. I don't like the yellow/blonde at the bottom half of her hooves because they look out-of-place, to a lesser extent compared to Sunny's. I love Sunny's hair here because it looks less generic than her current hair. I don't think the goggles fit her character that well. I don't like the pink on the bottom half of her hooves because they look out of place, even more so than Pipp's. I don't like Izzy's decorations here. I love how current Izzy looks, though I am not sure of the color scheme. Hitch here looks like he could be a performing cousin of the current Hitch. I really hope that the current Hitch will have a performing cousin that looks like that.
  12. I imagined that if Misty from G5 gets a cutie mark, it would be a calendar surrounded by mist.

In my headcannon, the calendar would represent her retrieval of her lost memories, and her clumsy but driven desire to complete goals. It would fit with her full name, Misty Memory.

Her clumsy but driven desire to complete goals can be seen in her many attempts to catch Sparky and bring him to Opaline.

  13. I believe that putting G5 in the same continuity as G4 made it look even shallower than it would be if it were its own continuity. It is like putting a kiddie pool on a cliff by the sea. It makes the kiddie pool look smaller, riskier, and out of place.
  14. I think the climax makes Rarity seem more sympathic than AppleJack since it seems that nopony would have cut down the tree that ended up getting struck by lightning. I found it narmish to refer to the upper half of the tree as a branch as it is clearly not a branch but I guess it was referred as a one for plot convenience.
  15. I imagined that Misty finds out that she came from a different dimension and that her last name is "Memory."

    Misty Memory.

Opaline erased Misty's memories, introducing the pink into her color palette.

Even after her memories were erased, Misty still experienced faint recollections in her dreams.

  16. I imagined that Izzy came from a criminal family. She used her crafting talent to help her family in their crimes. She ran away when she was a young filly.

On the run, she got scared in a dark forest and found the latern. She calmed down and was amazed as she watched the latern land in a tree. Using her crafting skills, she was able to scale the tree to get the latern.

Knowing that she was able to do, she had new hope for her future. She soon changed her last name to Moonbow, and became the "craft engineer" of Bridlehood.

    Spoiler

This would explain the "medium sneaky" phrase, the craftiness, and the "leaving an old life" line.

  17. I imagined that Cozy glow was created by someone, using dark magic, to be used as a status symbol.

Cozy Glow was always crazy evil but realizing that she was created to just be a petty trophy gave her certain motivations.

  18. I imagined that G5 was an alternate universe that keeps having things from G4 leak in. I would like if the main cast had an ally that specializes in multiverse leaks or G4 stuff.

Since the "leak" had been present for a very, very long time, ponies have long been mistaking things G4 things as things that belong to G5. Not even G4 lore and history is safe from that.

    :sealed:

    Spoiler

Going on that thought, I imagined that 4-6 years old Misty came from G4 dimension and had accidentally stumbled in G5 dimension, where Opaline found and adopted her.

Then Opaline manipulated her into forgetting that she came from a different dimension.

  19. I like the G4 toys.

They either look "squishy-cute" or "majestic-cute."
