Wow, this is a really cool theory, I never thought of it like this! I like where you're going with this- perhaps it's another example of how all ponies are magic (duh), and earth ponies can have different enhanced abilities; the most obvious of course being strength, and this could be, too. This would mean that unicorns and pegasi would have those plus magic/flight, yeah? Perhaps, then, this could be a defense mechanism- to avoid injury, this "rubber hose" magic would let them do so? If this could be a form of earth pony magic, then it really expands what could be something an earth pony could do, too! I feel like G5 expands on this a lot more, but g4 not so much, so Although it's just Animation Being Animation in reality, I really like this! It's fun and I'd like to see it used in fan stuff

It's pretty comparable to g1 or g3 to me, which isn't a complaint- but I do think FiM is better, as it played with more complicated stuff than prev. gens, such as addressing Applejack's parents. I'm really enjoying g5, I think it's fun and I'm personally looking forward to more! But that's how I feel, for now I think it's less about "g5 has to top g4" and more "g4 couldn't last forever, so let's try to be optimistic about the future of MLP"

Finally got around to watching TYT, I really enjoy it! The humor isn't always for me, and I was unsure of the art style, but I find it enjoyable! I think people are overreacting a teeeeny bit: FiM couldn't last forever, as sad as it is to say. I think G5 is going pretty well thus far, but remember how long FiM lasted! We still have a long ways to go, this is still very early in it's lifespan, I think Edit: BUT I gotta say that making it continue off of FiM and not be it's own thing wasn't a good choice. I hope that they somehow retcon that choice, although idk how they would at this point? Also a very small gripe is that the cutie marks aren't on both flanks. I know that previous gens didn't always either, but I think it looks better
