Don't know how to exactly feel about the cancellation of Tell your Tale and possibly of G5 as a whole, I'm actually surprised, not sad about it, though, I do feel bad for the fans, and I mean, bad in the long term, I honestly have no hopes for the future of the franchise, and I think this goes beyond than just Hasbro managing things poorly, I think the franchise is doomed, I don't think it's going to shine any time again, you can call me a pessimistic but that's just how I feel about it, I have more to talk about this feeling, but I'll do it another time, maybe tonight, I don't know, I'll see.

@Rafa Stary I completely agree with what you are saying, Bestie.

I agree. And I think the fact that MLP is a toy franchise owned by a toy company will always hold it back. Hasbro will never be overly focused on making good media for the franchise, they just want a vector to sell toys to kids. Or sell micro transactions to kids like in their mobile Monopoly game. It's not like something such as Dragon Ball where the manga and then anime were first and completely independent of all the games and figures and such that would come later. The show is just there to sell the toys, and if the toys aren't selling then Hasbro will see it as a waste of money.

@Iforgotmybrain honestly I forgot about this completely, and indeed that really contributes to it, I mean, there's the detail that Dragon Ball is a Japanese franchise, and japanese market works diffrently compared the western market, japanese companies have their own way to deal with their IPs, take Pokemon as example, the anime was made to promote the games, but the anime was a huge success to the point that it became "independent", a lot of people are aware of the anime and movies but not the games, the two medias got their own ends, Dragon Ball went through a complete decade without any animes, movies or mangas, only videogames, toys, etc, yet, the new animations and comics of the franchise still receive the same treatment the companies gave in the 80's/90's (just larger/global scale), the Super manga was made to promote the Super anime, but even when the anime ended, the manga still continued with new stories for 5 more years. MLP had a shorter bigger budget show locked in a streaming service and a "longer" cheaper show availbale for free on Youtube, the revenue is completely different, so it's indeed two completely different words, only missed the market differences, but what you said is correct.
