IDW has released their solicitation for My Little Pony: Tournament of Mysteries, expected to release in April 2025:

Asia Simone has a lovely art style that can be seen in her graphic novels Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: Wreck & Roll (Marvel), Pack Your Bags, Maggie Diaz (Scholastic), and in the upcoming comic Adventure Time: Best of Buds issue #2 (Oni Press). I don't know how well it will translate to My Little Pony, but I am encouraged.

The collection hit comic shops today. My only issue with it is that I think all three stories have already been collected at one time or another. They're all good ones, at least!

Even so, some sort of MLP reboot seems inevitable, even if it has nothing to do with Friendship is Magic. 

Many players of FFVII would have something to say about that.

The Batman. For the second time. The first time I was half-asleep. The film is a lot better when you can pay attention to it. 

I do think, though, that I've had enough of super-hero films with de-saturated color palettes.

On the other hoof. Friendship is Magic is far ahead of G5 in terms of tabletop gaming. Leaving board games alone (for now), we have the Tails of Equestria TTRPB from River Horse; and Renegade Game Studios as published the My Little Pony Roleplaying Game, My Little Pony Deck-Building Game and the upcoming My Little Pony: Festival of Lanterns tile-placing game. And there is also EnterPLAY's My Little Pony Collectible Card Game. 

There are a few kids' board games for MLP G5, and the video games that have already been brought up, but that's about it.

Well, that was quick! We already have a bunch of the plushies revealed that were teased in our interview last week from Symbiote being revealed over on their Youtube channel!

Today we get Celestia, Octavia, The Cutie Mark Crusaders, and Spike. Apparently they will be available this month. We will get an update once they pop up.

Yuletide is actually a six-day celebration! Foreyule (December) 29 & 30; the two Yuledays that fall outside of the months; and Afteryule (January) 1 & 2. 1 Yule is the last day of the old year; 2 Yule is the first day of the new year.

You aren't in the southern hemisphere, are you? I don't see the Equestrian New Year starting at the height of summer. 

New Year's might be folded into Hearth's Warming, like Yuletide in the North of Middle-earth celebrates both the winter solstice and the year's end.

Cats Don't Dance (1997). After acquiring the film in their merger with Turner Feature Animation, Warner Bros. pretty much buried it by releasing the movie with virtually no promotion. 

It wasn't perfect. It wasn't terrible either. If you're a huge fan of Peter Jackson's Middle-earth check it out at the cinema, otherwise wait for it to come to streaming or home video.
