Seems like the solar storms are lighting up the atmosphere even over places where you'd never expect to be able to see an aurora. It won't be visible here for another few hours, but I'm really excited. I'm far enough north that we've gotten occasional auroras before, but this is the first time in my life we're getting a big one without massive cloud cover, so I'll finally get to see it with my own eyes. Anyone else still waiting for the sun to set? Anyone get any cool pictures of their aurora??

I kind of have a hard time getting excited for new consoles... To me, it's just an expensive thing I have to buy if I want new games. I love my Switch but I didn't get it until it had been out for years. And of course they won't fully drop support until it's about time for whatever comes after the Switch 2, so I can't even look forward to being able to hack mine yet. I do hope this causes prices to drop on first-gen Switches so I can hack one of those. Apropos of nothing, I wish I could afford a Steam Deck! I do really really love portable consoles.

It's been over a year since anyone posted in this topic, but I really like Sonic, so I hope it's okay if I revive it ^^; and since I'm new, here's my answers to the questions posed in the very first post: Sonic Frontiers, for sure! I know it was a bit iffy on a technical level, but that's just the games industry these days. It gave me exactly what I wanted from it, and considering how previous game launches have gone, that's huge. 1. Sonic Frontiers 2. Sonic Adventure 2 3. Sonic Adventure 4. Team Sonic Racing 5. Tie between Knuckles Chaotix and Sonic X-Treme (more for their concepts than their actual gameplay. Also if anyone can find a version of the X-Treme fan release that works on Windows 10 you'll be my hero) Tikal, my beloved, my heart and soul. 1. Tikal the Echidna 2. Blaze the Cat 3. Knuckles the Echidna 4. Sonic the Hedgehog himself 5. Shadow the Hedgehog This is quite literally an impossible question so I'll substitute it for the one I'm currently listening to: Never Turn Back from Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) Sonic X by a long shot!!! It's my favorite Sonic media overall, in fact I like the show but not the games, and the show is more of a good comedy than a good Sonic show. This seems to be the mainstream fan opinion these days Junichi Kanemaru, especially when he unexpectedly speaks English I like all three about equally so I'll default to Kaori Aso Shadow the Hedgehog. Yes, he is in my top five favorites, I just also hate him <3 What a mean-spirited question. That said, Olivar Wyman. It's not his fault he was directed to make that voice. First time around when I was six and watching Sonic X every Saturday morning was quite literally the most important thing in the world to me. Second time around (which proved to be permanent) around 2020 when I decided to see if Sonic X still held up. Sonic Forces. This also seems to be a mainstream fan opinion. First beaten to completion was Frontiers. I don't usually beat any game I play, and I'm terrible at platformers, so that tells you how much this game meant to me. I still haven't beaten it to completion though. First played ever, I have no idea. Probably one of the 4KIDS flash games. It's pretty fun looking at the beginning of this thread and being thrust back into a world where Sonic Boom was the biggest thing that hadn't come out yet. Also, I feel the need to mention, I have a worldbuilding project in the back of my mind at all times where Sonic X happens with Equestria instead of Earth (and Eggman is a unicorn and everything).

I've just recently started rebuilding my offline music collection since I'm annoyed with streaming lately. It's fun to just shuffle my whole library together! Most of what I've got at the moment are soundtracks- Sonic the Hedgehog, a bunch of other video games, Homestuck, RWBY, of course My Little Pony! I'm also rediscovering music I was really into a long time ago, like LEMMiNO. I'm also mixing in lots of tracks from Ektoplasm - I've just recently discovered they exist and there's a lot of good stuff on there.

Nice to meet you, everyone. I've never been good about checking on forums, so I can't promise I'll wind up being active, but I've had ponies on the brain lately so it seems like a good idea to make an account since I unexpectedly stumbled on a link. (I've been aware of the forums as I listen to Ponyville Live occasionally but for whatever reason I never thought to come look until now). Other things I'm really into: Sonic the Hedgehog, video games as an artistic medium, Homestuck and other hypermedia, Khajiit (and by extension The Elder Scrolls), lots of other stuff I can't remember right this second but could probably talk your ear off for hours about if you catch me at the right time. I'm not sure what else people usually introduce themselves with on a huge public forum like this, so if you wanna know other stuff about me, ask away!
