Hey. I am new here. (Wanted to reply to this. :p) According to some lore I've read on unicorns, impaling people with their horns was a method of testing the virtue of people in their immediate vicinity, as people who were not pure of heart, or no longer had their innocence, weren't permitted to be near to a unicorn. Those with a pure heart would survive the ordeal through some magical means, and those that weren't... well, I think you get the picture. :p While I cannot find any information regarding this particular "behavior" (I didn't search very thoroughly either), I did find this article wherein they talk of historical accounts of unicorns impaling other living things in defense of itself or its young. https://www.worldhistory.org/article/1629/the-unicorn-myth/
