I am aware some people were not fond of Princess Luna and Princess Celestia turning Chrysalis, Cozy Glow and Tirek into stone in season 9, but it's their own fault anyway, especially Chrysalis and Tirek. They had multiple chances to redeem and each time they exploited the good nature of others for their own benefit. If Discord had crossed the line this much, it would be the same for him.
