    I read your bio. I have a best friend who is also very focused on academics, introverted and closed off except to a select few. I don't think of him as a jerk even though he accidentally hurt people's feelings wanting to get closer. People perceive him as cold and distant but not everyone is an extrovert, so it's okay.

    I guess I just wanted you to know that you're not alone in your preferences. Best wishes in your pursuits. :twilightsmile:
