So I haven't don't this in months, if not over a year, and I have no idea how to start -insert frustrated face here-

Well I'm not sure how much I want to stay with this after Stardust left, but I've got several RP's under my belt as far as being a DM is concerned

So I have no clue if you're still accepting, hypno, but if you are, I always love your RPs and I think I'd like to join

Also, the last RP I was in just died prematurely (like touch and go if you know what I mean) so I'm looking for something to do

Vinyl quickly donned her uniform and dashed out of the castle toward Canterlot University. "Oh Luna, I'm late. I am so late!" Upon arriving to the dining hall's doors, she quickly composed herself and fixed her mane. Quietly, she opened the door, but it let out a bit of a squeak. She looked up and unfortunately made eye contact with the headmaster, then she covered her face as she tried to sneak over to her seat

So will Vinyl be a first year this time around?

Same. This is the first public RP I've done in about a year

I'm okay with whatever. I'd pretty much be starting over anyway

Alright well... I'll need to be filled in on all that happened so I can post

So I have no clue where my character left off. Stardust was supposed to make some posts for me but so far I don't see any

Training was awesome. I wish I finished it, but hey life doesn't always work out

I'm back! And not in the navy anymore... :'( And I've got a lot to catch up on..

"If you could all please open your books and turn to chapter one, but before you release the strap make sure that you rub the spine of the book to calm it down. You don't want it snapping at you while we are trying to study. We are going to be learning about Changlings today." She started to walk around the circle and talk about the chapter. Calling on the students to read portions of the book and making it a fun game. She was not going to start off the year with a dull and boring class.

When the teacher wasn't looking, Vinyl cast a spell on the book that she was told by some of her third and fourth year friends would relax it without having to lay a hoof on it. When she opened the book, she blushed deeply and looked around to see if anyone had seen her mistake. The spell worked in relaxing it, maybe even too well. She raised her hoof a bit and called to the teacher. "Um excuse me, Ms. Autumn, but my book doesn't seem to have any words in it."

Vinyl woke up a bit later than the first years, since her class started after theirs. She really wanted to style her mane that morning, but her first class was outside and there would be no point, so instead she ran her hooves through it and let it be. "Guess I won't be impressing anyone today," she said to herself as she put on her robes, gathered her books, and went outside. After meeting up with the rest of the students in her small class, she noticed the teacher coming out with the books

"Please don't be shy, make a big circle and have a seat, I will be passing out the books for this class. They are a bit wild so they didn't give them to you when you arrived." She continued to push the cart as the students took their seats.

 

She stepped out from the large wriggling stack of books. The students gasped at the sight of her. They had never seen a creature such as her and it was so fascinating. She gave the usual smile that she always did when ponies met her for the first time. 

 

"What better to have a mystical creature teach a class about mystical creatures right?" She chuckled and started to explain who she was and where she was from. 

 

"My name is Autumn, and yes, I am a reindeer. My home is just north of Yakyakistan. I come from a small family, just me and my brother. My parents work for a toy shop up there, many of the toys that are sold in the shops around Equestria are made there. My brother runs a sleigh riding company for mainly the young Yaks. Ponies don't even realize we are there so not many come to visit, most show up lost and my brother has to take them back to the Crystal Empire. My parents wanted me to go work with them but I knew I was going to be doing something better. I studied very hard in school and traveled a long way every day after secondary school to attend a university a couple towns away. I was determined to be a teacher, it was by luck that Headmaster Greyhoof dropped by my university and gave me an interview. He knew I was graduating and he offered me this job. I was so excited!" She walked around a little bit so the students could look her over. "So, that is how I wound up here." She smiled and walked back to the cart. 

 

She started handing out the books, "Take one and pass it to your left, once everyone has one we will begin." She handed the first book to a mare and asked her name. "Nice to meet you Vinyl, glad to have you in my class." 

Vinyl smiled up at her and replied, "Glad to be here, ma'am." She had actually already seen reindeer before, so unlike the rest of the class, she wasn't staring

Sorry for not posting! I've been out of town since Monday, but I should have a post up tonight

I want that helmet. That's cool as fuck

It's pretty cheap. For the helmet and the face shield, it's about $200

Vinyl noticed that this first year wasn't big into being social. "Good, now that that's over, follow me. I'll show you to where you and I will be sleeping." She walked quickly and quietly to the dorm, checking behind her every once in a while to make sure Jazz was following. She didn't want to be in a crowd any more than Jazz did. She pointed out when they got to the common room and continued on to the dorm room up the spiral staircase. "Here's your bed, dresser, drawers, all that. I'm just on the other side of the room, so don't expect a ton of privacy." Vinyl sat down on her bed and looked up to Jazz. "Anything else you need to know?"

Vinyl finished her food in silence, only glancing over to Jazz when she was mentioned. When the ceremony concluded, she stood up, made her plate disappear with a quick spell, and walked over to the first year. "So you're my roommate, yeah?" She stuck out her hoof and smiled softly. "I'm Vinyl. Not a big fan of my last name, so I never use it."

I noticed, I was just waiting for someone else to post first, but I guess I'll be putting up a post soon

Vinyl, living in a small room in the castle, was just a short walk away from the university. Last year she had burst into the dining hall just a bit late, which unfortunately had been one of the jokes that stuck with her throughout the year. This year she planned to start off on the right hoof by being on time, or even a bit early.

She carried her bags to the Changeling house dormitories, dropped them on her bed, and proceeded to change into her robes. From her window, she watched the first years arrive on the university grounds and she took a breath. What did she have to be nervous about? As a second year student, she had a lot less to worry about than the first and fourth years, but she was anxious nonetheless. "I'm sure the feeling will pass," Vinyl whispered to herself, as she headed back down and to the dining hall to meet up with the upperclassmen. She was there far earlier than she needed to be and she knew even the headmaster would notice. She just hoped he wouldn't poke fun quite as much as he did last year

I'm still waiting to figure out what year I'm going to be. I mean we can't have a university filled with only first years, right?
