  1. My apologies for my absence. My wife got pneumonia, and that took a little bit of my attention.

Ack! Hope she's doing okay. D:

She's fine, but I had to baby her for a little while. I'm back and ready to start my writing.

  2. How do we communicate the video to you? Through here by link?
  3. I call her my mate because we are mated. It's more or less a personal and semi-philosophical choice of words, so I don't impose it on everyone. Do you have any particular suggestions for pay programs? She presently has Photoshop Elements, but there are a few issues that hinder her artwork.
  4. She's been experimenting with that program. Seeing this post assures me that it's a good one. Thank you! I'll have her check that out, but I'm not afraid to purchase a program, if it ensures quality.
  5. My mate is looking to eventually get an artists' table at BroNY Con, and I'm looking for some other digital inking and coloring programs. Not being an artist myself, I thought I could call on my fellow bronies and pegasisters for some advice regarding what programs would work best for these processes. To refresh, I'm looking for programs that ink well and/or color well. Tools: Wacom Intuos4, Moderl PTK-640. Thank y'all.
  6. BroNY Con...incredible.

  7. Off to BroNY Con. Hope to see some of you there!

  8. Planning is nearing completion. The writing shall begin soon!

      It has begun. *dramatic voice*

  9. I'm on Gaia as well. Nice to see you've joined us.
  10. I'm new here, too. I'm also a fan of Pokemon and Minecraft. I'm gonna bet that you'll find a lot to do here. I'm already having fun!
  11. It has to be Applejack. She had that fit of "responsibility" early on in apple bucking season, but we all know she was a stone's throw from losing it.
  12. Is this in New Zealand?
  13. My favorite is a tie between the original version of "The Last Roundup" and the second season's finale. I'm a die-hard Derpy lover, and I think the accusations posed to her voice are ridiculous. However, that's an old topic, so I'll move on. The season finale has entered my favorites, because they established a new race, not to mention that there are complex socio-political issues that plague even Equestria. And it doesn't hurt that the changelings look very much like the Noise from "The World Ends with You."
  14. Only if there's a decent story behind it. I want to feel an emotional connection that few can satisfy. It happens in real life, so it stands to reason that it could happen in the pony universe.
  15. I clicked on the link, but it takes me to a blank page in the forum. I would like to apply, very much so. And critiquing is a skill, which I am glad you're recognizing. Offering an opinion helps, but the act of actively critiquing a piece is something that takes practice and, in some cases, training. I think that I can bring that to the table.
  16. I've got my idea for my first story. Let the planning commence.

  17. I actually have a bottle of it on top of my fridge. I use it for my apple pies.
  18. Big Mac is a favorite of mine, and my wife likes him very much as well. I think there's something very interesting behind that silent exterior that the writers could have some fun with.
  19. I fancy myself an Applejack. The connection to family, the concern with her friends, it all just sort of fits. And you'll find that I drop a y'all from time to time.
  20. Actually, this is how I am! Shocking, right? No, my pony-sona is the only detail that needs tweaking. Even the hair is an accurate representation. I know enough to distance role-playing from other forum speak. My apologies if I came off as disingenuinous. For an English major, a few things. One: find your niche. Do you enjoy reading? Critique? Writing? Two: stay with it. If you are ambitious and really want to stick with English, you'll likely need to go on to graduate school. I'm in the process of getting there myself. Three: have fun with it. English majors are some of the most underwritten students in universities. I'm curious where you're studying, but I won't ask you to divulge those details openly. Nothing pony related just yet, but I've decided on what my first story will be just a few minutes ago.
