I finally decided to start a blog series. Starting today with a computer I worked on over spring break (unfinished still, but I'll be posting continuations, and more). I started at my apt during school, the case was finished at my parents house during spring break. Aimed at a pony theme build.
March 21st:
the case I bought came in. Decided in doing a Mini-ITX machine for a change. Right after I got it in, I took it apart with drilling the harddrive bay out of the case. Also began sanding down the powder coating.
March 25-29th:
I begin painting of the PC with metal and plastic primer. doing primers first, followed by 2-3 coats of paint. (White, and Metalic Blue). I also decided to paint my Radeon hd 7970 reference case. Friday I did Clear coats on the parts being exposed.
I don't have any of the pics from them getting painted. I told friends on xbl+fb that I was basing the colors on a pony. Didn't want them to see which until it was fully painted.
Here it is finished with paint, and the fans to match.
will be getting more parts + begin benchmarks on it as I get the rest of the parts.
Basically all I have are a HD 7970 + 2600k
