  1. I enjoyed Runescape actually. My favorite MMO when I think about it. The time spent questing and trying to become power, talking with strangers along the way, are memories irreplacable.

Though, I think what you are looking for is Vindictus or Dragon Nest.

I haven't tried C9, but it looks like Dragon Nest with a less cartoony art style.

All of these games came from Korea.

They're really hardcore and take some dedication, however. The gameplay is still awesome, I have over a thousand hours put into Vindictus and Dragon Nest.

Runescape isn't click and hit anymore, since they added the Evolution of Combat. Unless you mean like every damn MMORPG where you click, and start pushing buttons. Every 3D one is pretty much the same. Star Trek Online is probably the most different thing then most really.

Vindictus and DN felt more different than STO.

STO is still similar to the common MMO like WoW and SWTOR, just a bit different. Vindi/DN are whole new games.

  2. I enjoyed the anime (not particularly my favorite) and it was worth the watch.

Not a fan of the art style, found a lot of the characters boring, and there was too much talking. I enjoyed watching Levi kick some titan ass, however. As much as I disliked many aspects, I'll admit it is a fairly high quality anime.

Though, the fandom is just awful, seriously.

ESPECIALLY on Tumblr. Apparently there's ship wars in the Titan fandom, and it's gotten so aggressive to the point someone's commit suicide.

I'm definitely not touching that fandom.

  3. I don't mind it when I see epic selfies. Ones with the president, ones in space, something very important in the person's life..

But it's pretty stupid to see one on a random day with them saying "just ate cereal". Like damn.

Though, I wouldn't mind taking one if I reached a big goal. If my dream was to perform on some well known stage, I'd selfie with the audience in the background, and treasure it.

Other than that, I'm a hipster who's sick of this old trend.

  4. Tumblr is an amazing and fun place to be as long as you stay away from the crazies.

There's a lot of crap going down in the Attack On Titan fandon around there, but if you avoid fandoms it can be fun.

    Non-anime blogs can be boring.

I personally use it to look at cute anime girls and discuss new episodes.

  5. As much as I hate Nexon, a lot of NexonNA's games are really fun.

Vindictus (Mabinogi Heroes), Dragon Nest, Mabinogi, etc.

They've proved to me that Korea can beat the crap out of America in terms of videogame mechanics. You know, we're really unoriginal in America, all we get are FPS games that we've already seen enough of cause we have no inspiration.

I guess TF2 had good entertainment value, but I never gave it another chance after burning out on it the first time.

Runescape is also a great game. The only problem is that they are changing it way too much. I hate the hotbar they added because if I wanted that, I would have gone to play WoW or something.. Now Runescape is trying to be what it isn't.

Warframe has potential, but I can't say I like DE that much. They are very inexperienced, and they have made a lot of useless content and too many weapons. They aren't doing well to prioritize making content (but that's also the playerbase's fault since we beg for many things).

Warframe isn't worth a try if you have grinding in games, because Warframe has a lot of grind. If you like grind, you can give it a shot, it's got great entertainment value for you.

Beware of the cash shop. If you ever play, you can ask me the best way to spend real life money currency, since a lot of things are overpriced and a lot of things underpriced. Hard to know what's worth the buy.

I had some fun with Fiesta. It's an idea already been done, a bit sloppily, but I'd love togo back in time to get my friends to play it with me. It's a fun group game.

SWTOR is an alternative to Fiesta, also fun, but I'd take WoW over both (but WoW is pay to play).

Best game in my opinion for F2P is probably Vindictus.

Best way for me to describe the game is a "Fast paced" and "Korean Hardcore" version of Dark Souls. Yes, Vindictus is harder than Dark Souls because the bosses are far more unforgiving in Vindictus, and bosses drop important things.

It has that "Korean Grind" to it, and is a hardcore game. There's grind, and making money to get the best gear is very RNG-based.

  6. Isn't pony made into humans still just humans?

If I made a human into a pony, he'd still be a pony.

    Everything but the person changes.

If I had a pony OC that you've never heard about, then made it into a human, would you actually care?

When humanized pony art is made, it's usually made because they care about the actual character, not the fact that they are ponies.

I wouldn't see what's wrong with it, but I still wouldn't care for it.

  7. Much as I agree that your choice is a good one, I'm afraid Jibril has already taken that title. Unless you mean to say she (Jibril) has Best girl of anime 2014 :P

In case you're not sure who I'm talking about, go watch No Game No Life

Jibril is my second favorite girl of the season, actually.

I can't say she's my favorite because all she's won me over with is fanservice (but did pretty damn well at that).

Rize won my over both through fanservice AND as a character.

I hope they don't trash Jibril after one or two episodes. You know, I kinda wanna see the purple girl again that they never showed again after beating.. I at least hope Jibril doesn't suffer the same fate. She's still excellent!

Edit: While I understand this topic is about only character's looks rather than actual favor for character and development, Lize still comes out on top. Unless they do more to please the eyes using Jibril, Lize has a very stable position.

  8. An anime people seem to be watching is that of Madoka Magica. One anime you should look into, however, is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (Or the original, that's good, too.) I don't watch alot of anime, but when my anime-loving friend comes over, he brings his PS3.

    With Netflix on it.

We then watch Fullmetal for about four or five hours :3

I'm actually talking about the anime of Spring 2014, the anime currently airing right now.

Anime like Madoka Magica and Full Metal Alchemist aren't very recent :o

  9. Hey guys! Spring 2014 has been really good as far as I'm concerned. I've been watching lots of the anime that's come out and they are gorgeous! I enjoy anime a lot if they do well on visuals.

Currently, I'm watching (and in the order of most enjoyed being first - not that the ones I put last aren't good):

Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? (Is the order a rabbit?)

    61255.jpg

Gorgeous animation and characters. The characters are all interesting and adorable and funny. Honestly, it's rare for me to not have a character in an anime I don't like, but each character is very likable!

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (The Irregular at Magic Highschool)

    61039.jpg

So far it's plot been interesting, and there is no character I like more than the other. The fight scene choreography is really nice as well!

    No Game No Life

    "Bloom: The Anime"

While not quite as good as every guy and their mother is hyping it to be, it's a very fun experience. While I'm not fond of Sora and Shiro, the main-est characters, I'm loving other important characters like Jibril and Steph. It's also a pretty anime, but I hope it doesn't expect to only impress me by having a crapton of bloom. The last episode was visually impressive.

Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin (Nanana's Buried Treasure)

    60475.jpg

I haven't caught myself up on the last episode, but as far as I know, it's interesting and the main character is shadying (like Mahouka's MC). We really don't know much about him, so a shady character like him has a lot of potential, and I hope that the anime and the main character reach that potential.

... aaaanndd probably a few more anime I decided to not mention. I want to catch up to season 2 on Love Live and Date a Live (the fact that both anime have "live" in them makes it confusing to tell people about them, lol).

I've heard good things about Black Bullet and Hitsugi no Chaika, so I'm looking forward to watching them some time.

What have you guys been watching? What's your favorite?

    Any suggestions from this season?

Here's a list of the anime of the season if you have yet to begin watching something: http://anichart.net/spring

  10. I don't have a specific playlist. I just listen to the ingame sounds or BGM, and maybe I'll play something fitting to the situation I'm in during a game.

Though, it was HILARIOUS when my friends were watching Totoro while I was playing Dark Souls 2, being chased by scary-ass whatever they ares, with cute Totoro music playing.

  11. So, what do you gain from doing this? It's a bit disappointing to hear this is what kids are doing. Really, these kids are around my age, and I'm gonna be an adult when they're adults, and I do NOT look forward to living in a place with this happening, and I do NOT look forward to similar (maybe even WORSE) little trends like this being around my future kids.

    It's extremely worrisome.

  12. Sword art online is really awesome :D!

    How old are you?

Miria Nikki is awesome (16+) and I loved elfn leid (18+). Both are quite short but they pack a lot in and are very very good :) SO MUCH FEEELS!

Happy Plant knows what he's talking about. If they are your cup of tea, I can add that these two are really popular, and are of pretty high quality.

I can also add "Another" as a good anime. A scene scared me to the point I stopped watching it! (I might just be a big sissy).

    • Brohoof 2
  13. Haha, good to hear everyone's advice helped! I was actually about to post about trying to watch a nice, not-scary show, but I guess I'm a bit late.

Still good to hear you're doing fine! You can also turn to music if you can't watch anything. Instrumental versions of upbeat or calming music always helps me!

  14. It really depends on the person when it comes to the anime, but here are my favorite anime:

Visuals: Sword of the Stranger (I haven't watched it, but my eyes already have erections when it sees some exerpts), Kyoukai no Kanata

    Moe and Fluffy Theme: K-ON!

    Darker Theme: Darker than Black

Characters: Baka to Test, The World God Only Knows

Story: Code Geass, Steins;Gate, Kyoukai no Kanata

Music/Soundtracks: K-ON! has a solid place in my heart for this

Honestly, my top ones are K-ON! and Kyoukai no Kanata. They're both really visually appealing.

Since most HATE moe or the school theme, I can also suggest to give Sword of the Stranger a shot. I keep hearing nothing but good things about him.

If you're new to anime, ignore The World God Only Knows.

The BEST I can suggest for sure, especially if you're new to anime, is called "Angel Beats!". Seriously, my friends who don't usually watch anime LOVED this one. It's all around good. Not ground breaking, but a great place to start.

  15. I believe personality is what generates most of the attraction, but how they look also has a huge impact (especially dresses, I love dresses).

Mine is a bit specific. Basically, I dislike buns and ponytails, but I still don't mind them.

What I DO like is, well, girls' hair when they just got out of the shower, and if they usually make it into a bun or something, then seeing them when they haven't done anything with their hair is amazing.

To put it simply, if their hair is as curly as appropriate (I don't like it too curly, but it depends on their girl), but if you catch them when they haven't done anything with their hair yet, that's an instant win for me.

For example, the character on my avatar, Azusa Nanako, regularly has pigtails, but I went CRAZY when we got scenes when she didn't have them in pigtails.

You know, it's when the girl you like has a rare, different look than what you're used to.

Honestly, I just like it in general when a girl goes out of her way for me to fix her hair for a date. I try to do the same when I go out for a girl, so it feels good when both do something with the other in mind.

Based on what I voted for, I chose black long hair. I do have little phases where it changes to blonde or something, but I always come back to liking black. The hairstyle varies, as I stated earlier in my post.

This does tend to depend on the girl, though. It's not like I'll turn down a nice girl just for her hair not being black and long.

Edit: I also tend to prefer girls had a good amount of hair. Having a LOT of hair bugs me as much as having too little hair. I'm not a fan of foreheads.

Not that these devalue girls, though!

  16. So with April Fools, there's been an issue I've discussed with people, so I'd like to bring it here.

Are there any jokes friends have played on your that hurt your feelings?

I've heard about things like fake confessions, screamers that did damage, and even fake suicides.

I also want to get this out there: not all jokes are funny, some can usually be hurt by a poorly-thought or performed joke.

Make sure you don't do anything that hurts anyone today, but still have a fun April Fools day!
