AC/DC gets my vote due to the vocals playing a major role. I also have seen to have missed one of my own match ups . The Snow Patrol song doesn't really work for me

It looks like Chicago will Dominate Malmsteen. I love both, I nominated Malmsteen but Chicago gets my vote , It looks like Malmsteen won't see round 2

As far as a predicted winner so far I could see Chicago,Dire Straits, PF, Zeppelin , or Maiden taking this.

And I see The Doors, and The Beatles as dark Horses.

This is unfortunate , round 4 is a loss because it won't do both bands either justice. A legendary band will wind up losing round 1.

However I am going to have to go with Sultans as I said before Mark's tone leaves me in awe. On the other hand Freddie's vocals are probably just as legendary as Knopflers tone.

For game 4, do you mind switching song 6 (sultans of swing) and 1 ( money for nothing) around for Dire Straits? Also my vote will be going towards TD.

I just find it odd as to why it only registered one vote when I saw several members say the voted for Megadeth after the fix. Or everyone is just now approaching it from a strategical perspective

Something is definitely wrong with the polls last I checked Megadeth had 7 and Bon jovi had 5 now it says Megadeth has one and Bon jovi has 7 and 16 members have cast their votes

Can we start a discussion on the brackets? If so...

 

-I'm seeing Matches 2, 6, 11, 12, 14, 16-18 as the most interesting

-I also expect landslides in Matches 4, 5, 13, 18, 20, 21, 29 and 30

-If Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, AC/DC or Rush don't get passed the first round...

-The Beatles vs. Anal Cunt?! Holy shit that's gonna be AWESOME!!!

-The most even matchup I've seen thus far in this round would be between Tenacious D and Weird Al, or Nightwish and System of a Down. An interesting placement, to say the least.

Based on what I've picked, I won't get passed the second round (third round if I'm lucky as fuck). My best choice (Evile) is put up against Weezer (and I can see Weezer as a heavy favourite) so I know I won't get anywhere with that unless I get lucky, while I have Coroner up against Daft Punk which is a no-contest pick. Best case scenario is Evile vs. Daft Punk and and from what I known is a dead match there.

 

My Devin Townsend choice MIGHT get lucky, but I don't have much info on the Reel Big Fish, so all I can say is I'm at 50/50 until the song comes up. Either way, it wouldn't matter because I KNOW for a fact that Rush will move on next, and that means whatever pick goes against Rush will be saying adios.

 

As far as my favourites in the game, I see Meshuggah and Megadeth as Round 3 max, AC/DC to the quarterfinals, and Rush and either Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin at the semi-finals.

Shame really IMO Mark is a better vocalist than Freddie and runs circles around Brian May on guitar ( Knopflers tone and dynamics are legendary . Dire Straits unfortunately is too underrated to stand up to Queen. Even If I switched it to Dire Straits best song , Queen would still win. =/ However I still Like Queen but it usually saddens me when no one has ever heard of Dire Straits.

As Far as favorites? For match 12 I see Satch coming out on top. Match 11 has two completely different genres going at it.

Maiden has a very good chance of winning it all , as does Floyd

They work fine for me. Also is the option to switch songs for certain rounds closed now that we see the match ups? I hate this limit.

You misinterpreted what I said. I was telling people NOT to think that way. Because I know there are people out there. I am a fan of both bands.

-Take a look at the composition

-Do you enjoy the vocals

-Are you listening to all parts in the song and taking in detail

I'm voting purely on the songs qualities . Such as Melody,. Vocals., its overall composition , Thats why Beethoven is probably the strongest competitor

As the others have asked. What kind of Genre is it? If its my speed I can help compose for it. I am willing to work with multiple composers.

I personally don't have a problem with spiders, as they hunt down bothersome insects and rodents.

I believe there's both really great people and aspects of society and bad people and aspects of society, its just that the media much rather focus on and the general masses much rather hear and be entertained by the slimy and bad aspects of society. The media shouldn't be the driving voice of what we should hold important but unfortunately it is.
