  1. For some reason, I just got the automated new member PM. Strange.

    1. Away

      Away

      I've gotten that 3 times already -.-

  2. "And so, MLP Forums members reveal their true murderous natures and obsessions in a thread about RPGs and weapons... It's only a matter of time before soccer moms find this thread and use it to justify all of you as insane killers." jk But okay, I would just choose something along the lines of "biggest and baddest thing ever" and just force my way through because I am a TERRIBLE strategist... I guess alternatively I could go with a Pokémon. They count, no?
  3. I'm sorry for not mentioning. Considering he is a pretty significant character, I thought it would be obvious. And no, I wouldn't mind - anybody can try out for any role. Unfortunately I don't have any lines for him. Hm... Unfortunately, no. During the long time where absolutely nothing happened, I started to reconsider the ideas for certain characters. Therefore some characters are, for now, blank. I have already started on seeing how most of them work out. I'll update the original post later on with more detail.
  4. Uh... How about Ganondorf? Have it be deep, menacing, and... to be fair, I haven't worked out how his voice is going to sound, so maybe you could drop in your own ideas into it? Have him say some cliche villain lines for starters?
  5. Oh come on. I want people to at least acknowledge my drawings. D: http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/9473/jln4.png

  6. Deadline details: It's past deadline. Auditions for Episode 1 characters (listed in the "old post" section) will not be accepted anymore. --- --- --- And so it is settled - the deadline is finally upon us. I think I said I would reveal the people I have chosen. (for Episode 1, that is) Well, without further ado, here is the list: Link = Dudeguy676 Aryll = Ccondelli Grandma = Shiek927 Orca = TheBronyHeart Tetra = Ccondelli Gonzo = Jble Quill = Jble In case anyone's not satisfied with said role, message me. After all, I have included people who have auditioned quite long ago, so I'm not sure what people's opinions are. And thus all is done. I thought Shiek927 left, but it turns out he's still around. That means that everything is finally done! Or at least the audition parts for episode 1...unless if someone doesn't want to be in it anymore, of course. But just to repeat myself, it is much appreciated for you to participate in this thing. Old post can be found here: --- --- --- Deadline details: It's past deadline. Auditions for Episode 1 characters (listed below) will not be accepted anymore.
  7. Remember how I said I would be out of commission for "quite a while"? Well, I believe I'm available now. For those who still remember this, the project is back (so not cancelled). The thing is, now I've been away for so long, I've changed my mind about some things. Mostly minor things. Nothing that'll affect long-term planning too much.
  8. 78 updates... all TheBronyHeart updates... along with someone else here and there... :P By the way, I'm sorta-ish more back.

  9. Let's see what's in my library of games... uh... I really have no game I truly hate... Well, I do dislike League of Nations Legends... Not because the gameplay is something that is most definetely not made for me, but also because of the fact that all my friends are obsessing about it and I feel all alone. A game that destroys friendships... How sad... :'c (Or should Mario Party/Kart take that part? Oh well) Okay... I'm going to try to be more serious now... Let's see... Well, the "worst" game I can see in my shelf is Smarties Meltdown... It's basically a game advertising, you guessed it, smarties. It wasn't exactly "broken", but certainly a game with little quality. I particularly remember hating the camera controls. These are some lovely pictures you've got there... That is all... No seriously, the only reason I quoted was because of these pictures... The only reason I know about the game was because someone sent me a soundtrack material. I kind of found it generic sounding. Hey. I have that game. ^^ Don't know why I have it, but its here, in all its glory. However, I have never ever played it in my entire life. I really have no idea what it is about. Heck, I don't even know WHY its here. ...I just saw it on Youtube. It's bad. "Gogeta VS Vegeta"... I don't get it... But okay... EDIT: How could I forget? : o This game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfl33Tn0pYc I have never played it, but damn, do I want to.
  10. Alright. I guess I can contribute... My memory's a bit wonky, so give me a moment... Pokemon Ruby: First game I ever got - to this day I still haven't finished it. (Well, to be fair, I did kind of lose it a long time ago...) Pokemon Firered: Same as above. However, the copy was also in spanish... Which, by the way, was a major offender to me because I was FINALLY learning english. Scooby Doo: Mystery Mayhem (GBA): I count it in as well even though its badly received. When I was a kid I had some fun with this one. I got stuck at the technological part. Spyro - Year of the Dragon: I did beat it, but I was also aiming at a 100%, which I never got around to do. The disc is also damaged, meaning that I will never be able to finish it. The Legend of Spyro: I actually thought this game was fun, except from the "serious" storyline, and the characters... I got stuck at a later level because I couldn't kill the enemies (no seriously, some of the latter enemies have ridiculous HP. Pokemon Collosseum: I got stuck at the white tower collosseum/somewhere before the white tower. I plan on replaying the game sooner or later... But only if I manage to get my hands on a link cable and a GBA... Honestly, the Pokemon limitation in the game is a bad design choice. Ratchet and Clank 2: I really love the PS2 trilogy (beat 1 and 3). Since I haven't played the PS3 installments yet, I really can't say anything about it. Anyhow, this is another case of flat out terribleness on my part. Sly 3 - (and one of its many titles): I loved Sly 2, and I beat it. The game was really fun. Sly 3 was also fun, heck, at parts I enjoyed it even more. However, for some reason I lost interest. Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus: I lost interest in the game. Why? Well, there is that submarine section in the first world. I had a lot of trouble with that. When I did get around beating it, the game glitched up and remained in the level... I didn't touch the game since then. And besides, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did with Sly 2 + 3. Spyro Season of Fire/Ice: Don't ask me. They're just boring games. Paper Mario 2: Lost interest at around the moon... which is a shame because this game was quite good. Now, there are more, but I just can't be bothered to continue. However, there is one that deserves mention. Yeah. That much I suck at gaming... I can't even beat that game.
  11. WAIT NOT FINISHED YET - THE POST THAT IS I have a string of one-liner reactions to the movie... But I don't think they'll make much sense from an outside perspective... So... in summary, I thought the movie was among the ranks of ranging from "okay" to "good". It was not the best thing ever, but neither it was the worst. It had a lot going for it, but also had a lot of missed potential. But since I suck at reviewing and criticizing stuff. Let me summarize: I didn't enjoy the animation as much as I did with the actual show. I can understand this because the animators are obviousloy not accustomated to animating humans. That doesn't mean I can't nitpick about it. some of the character design was really... well, bad, in my opinion. Humanized Luna was one of the biggest offenders in this. I am disappointed with the lack of characters utilized. For example, I wanted more moments like CMC's Youtube video... I have a STRONG hatred for...what's his name? I forgot. I call him the corndog guy because Friendship is Witchcraft. The romance was some of the worst I've ever seen. And his character was also... well, bland. My reasoning? There was no reason for it. They meet. Twilight blushes, and bam. They seem to hit it off quite well. I would overlook it if corndog guy would gain a decent personality, but he is just the generic cool guy. We know nothing about him. Oh, and at first I thought it was Shining Armour. Yeah. The villain was kind of lame, and very disappointing. She had some potential, but it was mostly wasted on evil grinning and goofball henchmen screentime. The movie had an disappointing ending. Like... seriously... BAD STUFF HAPPENING! Oh nvm, everything's good again. And I feel that Sunset had some terrible "character development"...HECK, SHE WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSONALITY! (Well, granted, the power of magic helped... probably... BUT STILL!) I didn't think much of the songs. I thought they were generic and bland. But then again, I have shifted away from MLP musicals for a while now and only have a few that I still like (Winter wrapup and Becoming Popular...) ...Which, by the way, reminds me. Gee. This feels different. A LOT different to the original... not sure how to react to that... I guess I liked the original more...? However, there were things I liked as well: Fluttershy faces. Fluttershy faces. Fluttershy faces. I don't know why, but Fluttershy stole the spotlight for me. I'm not sure about other people, but I really loved her one-time facial expressions... unfortunately, if you look at them as still pictures, they can be kinda... creepy. Anyhow, let's see... I enjoyed how they took the effort off making all the counterparts slightly different to their originals. This was more prominent in the non-Mane 6 characters, but I still thought this was a nice addition. My personal favourite is Cherilee. Not so cheery, though. ^^ Fluttershy Er... That's it... I can't remember much on the positives, because I mostly got my points from the one-liners I typed onto Skype (just so you know, I was initially discussing it with Jamza, but then he had to leave. I, on the other hand, decided to keep talking about it... to myself... Because I'm weird like that.). Anyhow, I can't remember much good about this movie. Other than me having enjoyed it, which definetely means that there is something... Yeah, bye.
  12. This is something I have never brought up, isn't it? I was planning on to, but I forgot (shame on me). Yes, I allow others to aid me in co writing. My only fear is that my crappy sense of writing and humour would turn off people, and I'm kind of paranoid that if it is crap, other people will overshadow my the source material. But hey, help would be appreciated. It's just that one would need to have a good knowledge of the game. Helping with character personalities would also be nice. (and yes, I have no idea what I'm doing here.)
  13. Sorry for responding so late! Hm... Well, this is a disappointment. I hate rejecting people, but I really am not a fan of your non-southern voice attempt. I do enjoy your other voices you have submitted, so I will likely like you to do some other voices in the future. You're still free to retry for Gonzo, though. Yup. Have fun. Hm... Well, Gonzo was pretty much the worst... Quill? I blame on my lack of explanation on him... Hm... Those two really don't work out. Just so you know, I want Quill to sound like a door to door salesman. You know, fast, smooth talking. Someone who'll easily reconvince someone. However, your Link was okay. The only issue is that he is not supposed to sound like a douchebag, and is compassionable. But besides that, his voice was pretty fine. I'm considering. Hey, can I please hop in too? ...You know, IF i'm there? Send it in whenever and however you like - youtube, mediafire, whatever is fine. Just remember that it can take a while for me to respond. Here's the scenario. I'm unable to use my editing software. (nor my recorder, because... heck, I'm still considering whether I should voice shit myself or not) Basically, I'll be able to work on the script and characters, and contact you over skype or something like that so you guys can voice in it (alternatively, you can voice it by yourself), however, I'm not going to start doing that unless the cast for episode 1 is established. So yes. Thats it. ...I'm still worried that my writing skills are crap and that this project thingy will fail. Oh well. ...Also, I should note that... well, you know how Zelda works. Characters get unbalanced screentime. Someone like Link will be prominent throughout the entire story. However, Orca is a character thats only required to teach you how to use a sword (and a mini game later on). Same goes for Grandma, Gonzo, and Quill, and anyone who isn't Link or The King of Red Lions/King of Hyrule (the talking red boat you meet later on) - they will get limited screentime. So yeah... I am going to assume this will make some people mad...? I mean, you're free to audition again for future characters. I mean, this isn't something I control. I mean, that's just how the game is arranged... yeah. Edit: Sorry if I do sound a bit dickish in this post. I kind of rushed through. :/
  14. Well, this is an unfortunate turn of events. The project is set on hold for a while ... along with my entire existence on the internet... I do apologize for those who had responded here. I think I'm going to be away for quite a while.
  15. Hey look - Alicorn Twilight is there too! I'm kind of finding that more interesting than the actual Equestria Girls... Still though, I didn't notice it the first time watching, and neither the second time watching. In fact, this reply was originally supposed to be about "oh lol twilicorn is gone". I'd still prefer Twilight to be a unicorn, but... Hey, at least she's not wearing that pink, ugly dress from the Season 3 Finale. Ugh. I swear that dress was the reason I hated Twilight's wings. Its good to see it gone. (Now I think about it, all of the dresses in the Season 3 Finale sucked - what the hell was that supposed to be about?) Anyhow, the next part is just a recap of the trailer along with a bit of what I think about it. I warn you that I have no organization issues whatsoever. Well, that basically covers it for me. All I have to say about this... thing. I still have no hopes for it. That doesn't mean I'm going to disregard it. Now, what I want to know. There are apparently no humans in Equestria. Are there no ponies in Highschoolandia(?) as well? Because if yes, then I would really love to see how they would develop that, with Twilight being an actual pony to begin with. Yeah. Bye.
  16. Hmm... I kept quiet hoping more people would show up, but apparently not. I don't have have anything to say, either. Here's the list of people I have chosen, or am considering. Green is chosen; black means consideration; grey has nothing. --- Link = ... Aryll = Ccondelli / Someone outside the Forum (I'll explain it below) Grandma = ... Orca = TheBronyHeart Tetra = Ccondelli Gonzo = Pokota Quill = ... --- I just love using colours! ...anyhow, I have made my choice with two of the characters, Orca and Tetra, which is nice. However, I am one prone to change of mind, and therefore if someone comes along and comes up with a better audition... well, sorry. :/ But for now, you are chosen. : ) As you can see above, I actually have someone having someone outside of the forums. I still can't decide whether to settle on Ccondelli, or the unnamed person. I'm not sure how to decide on this one, honestly. Pokota is still in consideration for Gonzo, but I would appreciate another audition with another accent (because the "southern drawl" just doesn't fit... :/ ) I'm still missing voices for Link, Grandma, and (someone who people would have likely not noticed because I added him later on after I figured out I accidentally missed him ... sorry) Quill (the Rito postman). Hm... I'm thinking about voicing some characters myself if it comes down to it... :/ I'm not a great actor, though.
  17. here's something I made out of boredom, properly titled "boredom" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhqkU12Joa0

  18. Hurray! Finally a female voice actor!! ^^ Okay, should I go ahead and point out that its actually Aryll's telescope you're talking about? She gives it to Link "for one day" (but gets kidnapped soon after and therefore he basically keeps it). Anyhow, more about the actual voices: I think that overall you did a very good job of Aryll and Tetra. Aryll's childlike essence was well done. Tetra's accent is a bit off, but overall still added to the character quite well (I should probably mention that Tetra's character is redesigned from the audition line to be different, but the voice performance is still the same). Grandma, on the other hand... I don't know. It just seems too artificial to me. Sorry. I am having you in mind. : ) You'll hear a bit more from me tomorrow, when I made up my mind, and am not so damn tired.
  19. Well, that is if you have no problem with it. I'm fine either way. I have faith that in the final product, you'll do fine. By the way, you win the role as Orca's voice actor, if that's okay with you.
  20. Wow. I'm loving this one. I am seriously loving this one. The coughing is a bit overdone, but a nice addition. In fact, I'm going to be honest when I say that it actually kind of inspired me a new aspect of his character that could be implemented in his parts. There is one issue, though, which I do blame on my self. I intended Orca to kind of speaking a bit more "whisperish" (I hope it makes sense) when saying "screw my ethereal patience - im done with this". But still, its good! Again, know that its nothing personal.
  21. My issue isn't seeing it to completion, but actually seeing it to completion with a degree of quality. Still though, I appreciate the support. I'd like to see some recordings, as well. : ) I sent you a Skype friend request, so we can talk later on. We can see what we can do, okay? Well, I mostly have a bunch of jumbled ideas in my head for the series overall, but I did write out most of Episode 1's script. The production style... well, I guess I can say that the whole thing is incredibly silly. I tried designing the characters to be memorable, and have them interact with other characters, as well as deal with random comedic gags in the meantime (as far as my ability to convey "comedy") Well, I'd love to get some audition recordings sent over. : ) ---- Well, I do thank the people who have responded so far. However, I would enjoy it if there were some female voice actors here as well... :v
  22. The cleaned up version sounds pretty good. I also like the voice you used in there. As for Gonzo, I meant that the general tone of the voice felt good, but I wouldn't say the same about the accent. So, what I'm requesting is a different accent (something more sea and pirate-like). I would also like it if you could make it sound a bit deeper. I would like to say you're in, but I'd first want to see if any other people will come in... Sorry for kind of ignoring you yesterday. Kind of skipped over your post by accident. Anyhow, if you could send in some recordings of how you can voice the characters, then that'd be great. I'd be grateful.
  23. Huh. :3 Thanks! ... With Gonzo, you got it down pretty right. ^^ Only thing is, could you maybe talk a bit more clearer, and when you start talking quietly, move closer to the microphone (so that sounds will be caught). I'm going to assume the background noise had an effect on the clarity of it overall, and I'm also going to assume that it's not going to be when you start voicing properly. Also, for Link, your voice acting was pretty solid with him, but it's just that I imagined him sound somewhat younger, you see. :/ Oh, and I also appreciate you trying to voice other characters such as Ganondorf and Tingle. Although I had a different accent and personality for Ganondorf. I guess that it'll be more established when I get to Episode 2... Also, what the hell was up with Orca? xD
