Yeah, I can sorta see how alicorns related to the Princesses or are related/do super special awesome things can be a smidge annoying. But from my perspective, those kinds of characters (alicorns or not) are going to exist whether people want them to or not. So it's best to just... ignore them. *shrug*

And that whole "mary-sue" makes my head hurt. I mean pretty much anything is considered "mary-sue" nowadays.

Dark past? MARY-SUE! Happy-go-lucky past? MARY SUE! Average civilian pony? MARY-SUE! Anything else? MARY-SUE! Alicorn? INSTA MARY-SUE!!

As for RPs, considering I don't RP, my opinion probably doesn't mean squat. I mean, if a simple alicorn will break someone's storyline, then don't include them obviously. My beef is where there are RPs that say "all equine breeds allowed EXCEPT alicorns because they just suck!1!"

I just find that childish, hateful, and petty. *shrug*

Haha, as for the Chrysalis and her changelings thing, I think me and you will just have to agree to disagree here. XD I see them as alicorns--or, to be honest, a sub-breed of alicorns. They are indeed changelings first and foremost, but I see them as alicorns as well. Just like when Rarity had butterfly wings, she was temporary a fluttercorn, which I also dub as an alicorn sub-breed.

Indeed. But my ponysona doesn't even have any of that. She's just... there. xD She's based off my other personas, plus my love for winged-unicorns. Hell, her cutie mark isn't even a talent; it's based off of symbolism.

You see, when I created her, I was unaware of the fandom's hate for alicorns (not the whole fandom, just a good chunk of it...)

I never learned about it until about late April/early May, and I learned the hard way. ._.;

But I understand what you're saying (at least I hope I am.) When creating a ponysona, it is probably best not to make said pony's story to crazy, unless you yourself live a crazy life like that. So, yeah.

Basically, what I was trying to get at is this: Not every alicorn is born from the same package of bacon; there are indeed some rotten strips of alicorn in there, but people always seem to see them and throw the package out and not even bother to take a look at the rest of the bacon.

However, what few people who do, end up finding normal alicorns that taste just fine, and the superb alicorns that taste fucking epic~

But that's just me being butthurt I guess. *shrug* lolz

And lol, that sounds like a lulzy alicorn. That makes... 3 alicorns I've heard of with crazy stories like that. But hey, that's their pony. If they're happy with it, that's what matters.
