  1. NBC replayed some earlier swimming finals with USA's two main guys in it. Michael Phelps just barely got the 8th slot! I also watched the finish of that Cycling race. Maybe it didn't go as everyone planned, but that just made the winner that much special. Good job Kazakhstan!!
  2. My vote goes to Snips and Snails although I really dislike that bunny Angel. :X It's such a brat to poor Fluttershy.
  3. It was a great opening ceremony! I especially loved the torch lighting ceremony where we finally found out what the heck all those kids were holding while all 204 countries wlked through the stadium. I was impressed especially by BBC, which played the entire ceremony without cutting to commercials... unlike what NBC is doing.....
  4. Magic dominates over the advancement of technology, not a pony's job. When one discovers their cutie mark, that's when they discover what they're best at, and thus what kind of job they'll do OR how they'll enrich pony society AND/OR Equestria itself. Rarity (since everyone's mentioning my favorite pony) has always had a knack for aesthetics, and it's reflected in her cutie mark. She discovered a special spell that lets her find gems. When she realized that this was the last remaining ingredient to her self-discovery/purpose, she gained her cutie mark; it's part of her "job" or role in pony society. It may not seem like it, but Rarity makes wearable art. She's an artist. <3 Sparkling, shiny, awe-inspiring gems are her trademark. We may find out in future episodes whether there's a more serious/adventurous purpose for Rarity's gem-finding... Unicorns may seem like they can do anything, and maybe some of them can, but they're also very weak. The majority of unicorns don't have the magic reserves to exert their magic for long. Twilight sparkle is an exception, not the rule. Her special affinity with magic has helped her develop the concentration it takes for strenuous or long-term telekinesis. By the way, this is a great topic. <3
  5. Okay, throwing these out there: Derpy is Rainbow Dash's sister. Fluttershy finds a baby pony abandoned in the woods. Adopts him/her. Twilight Sparkle's spell goes haywire and she ends up with a younger clone of herself. Applejack's mother and father arrive from their neverending vacation to drop off a new baby sibling, then take off again. Hmm... these sound more like episodes I'd like to see.
  6. Rarity. I'd make fancy clothes, Sweetie Belle would be my cute little sister, and eventually Spike would be my boyfriend. Huzzah
  7. I only got one thing to say... I'll marry--I mean, smooch, whomever I like! Besides, I was kissed first. XD
  8. I want to draw some pony art!

  9. When I think of furries, the first thing the word conjures up are the fetishists, which I just can't fathom why anyone would go to the extremes that they do. A long, long time ago I used to roleplay an equine on Furcadia. I loved it. She was an arabian mare who ran away from home to find her place in this medieval anthropomorphic world. Sex was never involved. We were "furres" (that's furres not furries) and it was a great online community. Sometime later, my friends and I were driving in my car and they suddenly started talking about this guy we knew. "He's a furry." one of them said. I suddenly burst out, "Oh, I'm a furry, too!" Because I'm thinking of my equine roleplaying. Then my friends burst into laughter. One of them says, "No, no you're not." "Well, I roleplay a little equine girl on Furcadia." Then she decided to correct me. "Furries are people who wear animal costumes and have sex with each other while wearing them." I was speechless. And pretty clueless, apparently. I shut up at that point, but my friends seemed determined to fill me in on "Furries" and all the quirks, fetishes, and personal behaviors associated with them. Low and behold, the furry internet was conjured at my house later by my friends.... Okay. I honestly had no idea any of that existed. I do think most furries get a bad rap and I certainly don't hate them! Furry roleplaying is just another means of release from the pressures of the real world, just like D&D, playing ponies, fanfiction/fanart, gaming, etc... But I can't help what I've heard and seen, and now "fetish" is the first thing my brain conjures up when the word furry is mentioned. Doesn't mean I don't like anthro stuff, though; just so long as it's tasteful. Enjoy some select pieces of anthro art.
  10. I wish it had 3d potential, but otherwise it's a good program. I also use it to think out characters to draw and how to position their anatomy.
  11. Well, I have a lot of favorite stallions and I'd be happy to accept a kiss from any one of them and they'd get one in return. Except there's this one particular stallion... If he kissed me, then... *blinks at Thunderlane* "WE'RE GETTIN HITCHED!"
  12. Yes and no. No, because they're about as much use as a frilly dress is to Applejack, and yes, because Celestia is past her prime. Whenever there's any kind of trouble, Celestia calls upon Twilight to fix it (Even though Celestia was originally the one who put the baddies away in the first place), and Twilight does while Celestia sits back waiting to reward her apprentice with praise. This leads me to believe that twilight is being molded into Celestia's replacement.
  13. I'd probably turn into an earth pony. If that was the case, I'd go work for the apple family. "ADOPT ME, APPLEJACK!"
  14. Hey SapphireDragon. I like it already; it's a good place to hang out at. And since you mentioned Rarity...
  15. Thanks for the welcome, everyone. I was surprised that I got this many replies so quickly. Usually, welcoming forum posts get ignored. So, thanks again!
  16. 1. I wait a month or two and then re-watch the 2 seasons on netflix in full HD glory without a watermark in the corner... and take choice screenshots for my collection. 2. I look at pony art. I save all the good stuff to look at later. 3. I try to make my own pony art. I'm lazy, do I don't get very far. Everything is left unfinished. 4. I find something else of my interests to occupy my time: Books, TV, Movies, Forums. 5. I remember MLP: FiM and begin the cycle all over again.
  17. I'd still want to be a pony. Even an Earth Pony. XD Because I don't think Applejack has ever looked up at Rainbow Dash and wished to fly. She's happy just as she is, a tough farmin' pony with legs that could applebuck for days. Now, Pinkie Pie might've wished to fly, just to keep up with Rainbow Dash, but Pinkie Pie is crazy; Equestria couldn't handle Pinkie Pie being anything but an Earth Pony. I'd be happy as an Earth pony, farming with Applejack. I think the world would be a better one in MLP, even with all the monsters and the craziness the ponies go through, because there good will always triumph. Edit: I was browsing through my pony folder and found something to add to my post. <3 Applejack.
  18. I'm here of course because I love MLP: FiM. Huzzah! I don't have any talents except for manual labor and I live in the south... But I'm not here to talk about myself... I'm here to talk ponies!! Though I like all of them, my favorite of the mane 6 is Rarity. I think she's hilarious. My Favorite background pony is Dr. Hooves/Time Turner. I'm always on the lookout for him. My favorite stallion is Thunderlane. I hope we get to see him again! Ponies I'd also like to see more of in the future... The Apple family! I love 'em!
