I have tons of pony drawing references at hand. If you want to draw ponies, I suggest taking screenshots, fading them out until they're barely visible, making a layer over them, and tracing. Keep doing that until you can draw the shapes from memory alone.

Oh, they're still with me! We just don't have a safe empty space for them to run around in anymore, because they'll chew wires. Coroplast is corrugated plastic sheets; the stuff they make signs with. You can turn the big ones into a "cage" for the piggies to run around in. It's much better, much bigger, and much more open. Also you can get really clever with the designs and create multiple levels with carpeted ramps and wooden supports. And to keep them enclosed, you use these organizer cubes (I got mine at Target) with small wire grids. They come in square panels that you put together yourself with plastic joints. My piggies have theirs elevated on an old dining room table we found at the thrift store. I store all their guinea pig stuff underneath.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. I don't know if the details surrounding her death would make it harder or easier for you, but sometimes cats get into poisonous things. If your cat goes outside, they can be poisoned by drinking up water that has old car fluids in it. There are people who even purposely kill their neighbor's pets by leaving milk or meat with antifreeze in it. Some plants can also kill a small pet, like certain house plants. If you have an indoor kitty, and there's no cat grass around, they may try some of that plant you leave on the windowsill. Some cats may even chew on plastic bags and swallow bits of it. Chunks that are too big will get stuck in their intestines and they have no way to unblock it. Again, I'm so sorry about your kitty.

What ticks me off the most are people who slack off at work. They wander around talking to people instead. It's like they have a job, even though millions in the U.S. don't, so they don't have to do anything but show the least effort. What's even worse is that I'm stuck picking up the slack because they're wandering around chatting it up. They do 1 thing while I'm stuck doing 5 things. And Because they're so chummy with the supervisors, the supervisors let it go. It makes me sick.

When my piggies were little, I used to set their cages on the floor, open the cage door and let them wander around the spare bedroom. It didn't have anything in it but some old furniture, but it made it an adventure for the cavies. They'd wander the room following each other (1st piggie had the 2nd's nose firmly behind them, because they have poor eyesight) and explore everything. I'd leave things around for them to find, veggie treats, toys, toiletpaper rolls and papertowel rolls. They usually nibbled on paper plates, too.They also poo'd of course, but it's like rabbit poo and can be vacuumed or swept easily. And when they got tired of it, they returned to their cage and took a nap in their pigloo. Now they're big boys and we live in a different apartment with different rules in a different state, so no more running around freely... but they have a far bigger home made of coroplast.

I love my guinea pigs! They're so gentle and cute. They run around making these burpy popping noises and then purr at each other. And when you hand them some fresh bell pepper, they purr at it and nomnomnom. Yours are adorable! It's funny how cavies pop out of their mom completely furred, and within an hour or two are walking around eating from a food bowl or drinking some water.

There's a lot of scent held between your elbow and your armpit. It's probably just the spots he likes best. It probably wont make him sick, though. Dogs lick/eat a lot worse stuff.... poop for example. Get advice from a professional if it really worries you or you can try to find a dog training center and they'll help you deter his adoration of your elbow/armpit. Yikes, she still ate her own food, right? Because cats need taurine. Anyway, was she the dominate animal in the house or dislike the dog in anyway? I can imagine she ate the dog's food because she had jealousy/dominance issues. Or she was a fatty kitty who ate because someone left food in the dog's bowl. Nomnom.

Rarity is best pone. Also, Pinkie Pie is worst pone. XD Don't hate. O_O Although I like her, and don't hate her of course, Pinkie Pie just gets on my nerves, especially her episodes which I actually haven't watched more than once. The only good one I liked her in was "Griffon the Brush-Off"... and maybe "Feeling Pinkie Keen" (although that was primarily a Twilight Episode). There is generally too much crazy Pinkie Pie in MLP:FiM.

What kind of girly shows do you mean? I am a girl, and I watched girly shows, but I used to watch "boy" shows, too, like Batman, Spiderman, X-Men, Samurai Jack, Gargoyles, Dragonball Z. Also all that Shounen anime that popped up. Anything with a good story I'll watch.

All of these are amazing! I wish I could draw like this They could be on the show; I'd especially love to see your version of the G1 ponies on there. I also love your brown and pink-spotted pony. So cute. Awesome work!

I missed what happened on Sunday, but I'm at work watching the games from my computer, hehe. MSNBC is showing some matches between countries I'm not really interested in, and NBC for the LONGEST time was just repeating some stupid segment of the morning show's hosts in rainbow tracksuits.

I'm not very good at art, but I still want to draw! In particular, my new project is making my self-pony her cutie mark on my own. Her cutie mark is a heart on a storm cloud with rain droplets coming off the heart. I used Photoshop for its awesome layering abilities. Rainycakes using Generalzoi's pony generator. Part 1: The Sketch Here I've managed a very, very wobbly sketch at 200% zoom. I drew one side, or one piece, then copied, pasted, and rotated the image so both sides are pretty much *kind of* even (the grid helps). I used lots of layers, then merged the sketch layers when I was satisfied with it. I have 3 background layers right now, Rainycakes' dark grey coat color, white, and transparent. I mostly use white right now. Part 2: The Pen Tool I wasn't looking forward to this part but it's actually easier than one would think. All you have to do is move the little dots around until you get the shape you want. I only drew about half the image then I copied it, pasted it as a new image, rotated it, then put it back carefully so the ends would match, using my sketch as a guide. Part 3: COLOR! Using the layer blending options helps out a lot here. I made the raindrops, the heart, and the cloud its own layer. Then, with the pen tool, I selected Shape layers and used it to create a layer of color under the raindrops, the heart, and the cloud. For fun, I added a gradient "mini-layer" under each shape layer. The best part is, I can change the colors at anytime Part 4: Adding the cutie mark! I merged all the layers (except the backgrounds) to make it a nice transparent image. Then I copied, pasted it as a new image, then shrunk it to 10% of its original size. Then I copied it to Rainy's flank, used Free transform on it to make it even smaller and turn it a bit. Then, I erased the top part so her wing was layered over it. Wheew, and that's that. Now all I need to do is edit my avatar so the cutie mark is showing. =) If only I could draw ponies, I could use the pen tool and layers to really make some awesome pony art Awww man, I just realized my topic title says "Learning How To My Own cutie Mark" instead of "Learning How To MAKE My Own Cutie Mark" and there's no way to edit the topic title that I know of. >:X

I'm watching the USA VS KOR girl's volleyball right now on NBC. USA is in the lead, but I'm rooting for both countries. Both teams are actually pretty fun to watch. One of my UK friends asked me last night, "Why do American's like Mr. Bean so much?" And I replied, "Because Americans actually think that's how the British really are!" Kiddingly, of course.

Baking and cooking foods and sharing them with friends and family; a hot drink tea, cocoa, or coffee on a cool day/night; curling up with a good book; a hot shower after a morning run; peaceful, uninterrupted sleep; watching my favorite TV shows, and finding new ones; Watching old movies from an era long gone by. There's a lot fo favorite things I like to do. It's hard to put down all of them. I'm reminded of this song... =)
