    If they could fix whatever defect she has that prevents her from flying, that would be a wonderful thing. It also mirrors the long wait for technology to fix problems in our society. "You will never be able to walk/see/hear again" followed by "new experimental treatment has possibilities" to a happy ending does happen sometimes. Where there is time, there is hope. ---- It would also provide a technological motion to their society, a proof that they aren't stuck and are advancing at a fairly normal rather than a stunted rate.

    Heh -- after all that sanity they recently blew it eh... I went on the web to verify what you said and found this... The NX will not be sold at a loss upon its March 2017 launch, .. So it appears they have realized their mistake.

    Nintendo products never fail because unlike other companies that make game systems, Nintendo never sells consoles at a loss.

    Actually it could be a very significant change in art style. The MOVIE will be G4 with a small change of art style.

    Plus there is about an 80-90% chance that generation 5 will be pretty much a generation 4.5. Hasbro doesn't walk away from cash cows.

    Let's be more ambitious. Breathing. You can still form sound etc, but you don't need to breathe to support your life functions. People can survive underwater for example.

    What ponies do not have is mass production and common parts. So in essence something like Autos would be in the old shop days where people and small companies hand built their own. This is why you can see things like flim-flam's contraption, but you don't see Model A's even though pony tech is beyond that for most things.

    It can give certain preconceptions based upon what shows up there. I mean a picture is worth 1,000 words and the picture was picked out by the person in question.

    Being a stallion means you have a shot at romance with the main characters of the story and most of the more interesting background ponies. As a mare you would not have less interesting choices. The only thing against it is that they seem to be a bit matriarchal.

    Maybe yes and maybe no -- I think Rarity would complain bitterly about how tacky so much of it is, and Rainbow Dash would have her own objections. Twilight would simply be a bit non-plussed and try to study the phenomenon. Applejack and Fluttershy wouldn't like it one bit. Pinkie Pie would start adjusting her friend count.

    Some people still listen to music on vinyl. There will always be hardcover books. Paperbacks might vanish for some titles.

    Holidays are a part of life. If anything ponies have more holidays than we do. They also have a far more logical placement of hearts and hooves day. What idiot decided to put that in the middle of February for us instead of in a more sedate June?
