Don't know why I'm just getting around to posting here, but oh well.

 

Do I support it. No. Do I absolutely despise it. No.

 

From the start I haven't liked the idea of Twilight become an alicorn. When I first watched the episode, I thought I hated it. Then I realized how wrong I was. It's not the idea of Twilight become an alicorn that bothers me. So what big deal, she has wings. I realized that it wouldn't change anything about her. It's the idea of her becoming a princess that bothers me. Sure people will say it's not going to change her character, but in my opinion it does. Ponies, in my opinion at least, the show writers could easily stop this, will not be looking at her as a great pony, or one of the most level headed of the mane six. Instead the'll be looking at her like royalty, as there new princess. I might be wrong, but ponies might start reacting to her like Mr. and Mrs. Cake did to Celestia in that one episode. That's my only worry at least.

 

Of course I might be wrong, none of this might happen, and if it doesn't, fine I was wrong and there's no problem.

 

So to sum it up, Twilight becoming an alicorn, or Twilacorn, big deal. Let her have wings and fly. But make her a princess, writers you better not ruin her character by making every pony treat her differently.

This viewpoint is very understandable. I do love the whole thing, but her being an Alicorn is what I like more. I think other ponies might treat her differently at first, but there is an excellent moral opportunity with that.The other ponies could treat her differently at first, but by the end of the episode, she gets tired of that and tells them all that she is  not a different Twilight. She clearly isn't as evidenced by Equestria Girls, so it would be accurate. It would be an excellent message to send to the bronies who are already convinced that Twilight is now ruined. (Which I think that viewpoint is idiotic)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Nope. I am self conscious about a lot of things, but this show is one of the greatest things that I have ever encountered. It makes me incredibly happy, so I would just take absolute pride in it. If anything, if a 'bully' in this case (even though I am not in school) started telling people that I love the show, I would just say "Yay! More people to check out the show potentially!". So it would ironically be advertising. Given how great and positive this show is, it might brighten up some people's life, like it has mine and others. 

 

So, I would not be bothered. I am very open about ponies and it makes me feel even happier. I think wearing a pony shirt, two bracelets, a necklace, and a Derpy wallet with a pony lanyard shows that. To hell with the negative people. I cannot care about what they think.

Colgate by far, I love her color scheme. Plus, I love her original name as well. I also think that Colgate is cuter.

 

I never really had much of an interest in Carrot Top. Not sure why. I always look for other background ponies before her. :x

I'm curious, am I the only one who feels bad for the human counterparts of the Mane 5? From what I've seen (I haven't seen it all), they weren't the most popular kids, but they found a friend who united them together and helped them learn about "the magic of friendship" and fight against everyone's differences. And then, Twilight leaves, probably never to return.

That is a good point, but the bright side is that there obviously is an actual Twilight and Spike in that dimension, or at least I think there is, so eventually they would meet her I would assume.

 

As for the topic, even though it might get merged, I LOVED the movie. Yes, it is flawed. Yes, it is clichè in ways. Yes, the pacing was a bit fast. Despite all of this, I feel there was a lot more good than bad, in my opinion. I enjoyed it very much. It made me laugh in so many spots, the animation and voice acting are still top notch as expected, and the many cameos and shoutouts were very nice. Plus, the damn credits. The credits.

 

Also, this is a biggie for me, since I am obsessed with Twilicorn. This movie proves that Twilight is still Twilight despite being a princess. She has not changed a bit. Tara Strong was correct after all. Plus, it really puts the princess thing in a positive light at the end. I REALLY hope this attitude carries over into season 4 somehow. Please DHX, do that! I know McCarthy said that EqG is not connected to season 4 at all (which I honestly hope she was lying there) but at least carry that attitude over. Gee, I am really obsessed with this.

epic as always, awesome job! i must say the part starting at 1:50 has a kind of trance-ish feel to it. really like this. if i were to give you constructive critisism, the only thing i could come up with is to look a bit at the mastering, some samples seem to be overwhelming others a little. but for the rest it is as i said before, epic as always :3 keep up the good job and i will be looking out for more!

 

That always seems to be an issue, the overwhelming part. Meh, I completed this in about....4 hours I think? It was just something entirely random. The next one was supposed to be a continuation of Chaos in My Mind, but that will came later. I am glad that that you and the others enjoyed it. I think it turned out amazingly given the time and how random it was. Thank you for the compliment and constructive criticism.

1). Death - Pretty self explanatory. How religion has kept many people not fearful of this is beyond me...

2). Heights - Yep, that classic fear.

3). Disease - I am very paranoid of having a life threatening disease quite a lot..

4). Being completely alone - I have a huge fear that I may be entirely alone in the future. That scares me.

5). Social Confrontation - Here is the cruel irony. I do not want to be completely alone, yet I am terrified of social confrontation with people that I do not know. Yay extreme social anxiety. There is a reason why I am online a lot.

Well, I love the movie, so, more than likely, yes. Whatever they have available down the line, I will definitely look into. The blu-ray is a must have. A great film in glorious HD. Not going to pass that up.

Hello Mr. Uber Negative Elitist. What is wrong with dreaming about something that someone would actually love if the technology was created? While I am not getting my hopes up, I am not tarnishing the hope of others. Seriously, to hell with 'grown up society', whatever the hell that even means at this point.

As for my opinion, quite simple, the concept sounds insanely neat, I just do not know about the reliability of the technology. I personally do not see it fully ready by then, but that is just a random guess by me. 

I kinda wonder how Shimmer even got a guy like him in the first place...I suppose the whole thing was supposed to be a plot device I think, but it got lost somewhere. I do not recall Shimmer ever using that as a motivation for anything, though that would have been a bit strange. 

 

Nemesis hooks up with your ex kinda not really = Multi-dimensional conquest. 

I have been one of the harshest critics of twilicorn on here and even though I am now neutral on it even back then I still thought it was a bit too soon to say for sure that her character is in fact actually ruined. Yes the way it was introduced was atrocious with how it came out of nowhere with a rushed episode that made no sense whatsoever, but as has been pointed out alicorn Twilight has only been onscreen for 5 minutes or so which still gives the writers time to sort out the mess that Hasbro put into their laps at the last minute.

 

What I saw from the Equestria Girls movie is very encouraging, not encouraging enough to get me to fully support twilicorn but enough to bring me from opposing it to being neutral yet very optimistic. It still has its problems which are going to be a bit messy to sort out but in that movie what I saw was the same Twilight we all know and love, one that has grown yes but is still far from being perfect. I believe that whether or not it will work will depend on how much meddling Hasbro will do in the creative process since they gave the writers enough creative freedom to make Equestria Girls work I believe it makes it all the more likely they will do the same with twilicorn even if it was a bit too soon.

Exactly! This is the type of positive outlook that I wish more people had.Even being neutral on the subject, you make very positive points. Even if we have somewhat differing views on Twilicorn as a whole, we can both share a positive outlook on the future of the show. That is what I am trying to have. The negativity from the fandom itself does make that difficult at times and I do have one slight worry that I hope does not happen in season 4 though I highly doubt that it will.

 

EqG is proof that what Tara Strong was right with what she said before. She said that Twilight is still Twilight and we seen that clear as day in EqG. She is nervous in the film and this shows that Twilight is obviously not done learning and I really look forward to seeing what she will learn as a princess.

I loved the movie, but as others have said, I would rather have a pony film before another EqG film. I am not against that idea, just I would not want it to happen for a long while. Simple as that really.

I remember when Twilight used to be relatable. I remember when she used to make mistakes. I remember when she depended on her friends. I remember when she struggled to get her word out and when she did, they'd just laugh it off.

 

But not anymore. Now it's all about how hard it is to adjust to being a princess. That's not relatable at all. Now Twilight solves all the problems on her own without needing her friends. She's essentially just a cute princess that has to go on magical adventures.

 

What makes it even worse is the she shouldn't be a princess in the first place. She's easily the least capable of the Mane 6 in terms of ruling. Just look at the mess she caused in Lesson Zero.

 

But everything is going to be fine now, because Twilight will no longer have any of these problems. Now that she became a princess for one of the dumbest reasons ever, she will always be right and will never make any more mistakes. Her friends are now nothing but a bunch of inferior sidekicks that will never have what she has.

I do not see ANY evidence in your post to support your claim. You are basically saying that once somepony becomes a princess, BOOM, they automatically are perfect and does everything perfectly without the help of others. Then.....you say....that she obviously is not a good ruler due to....Lesson Zero....Wut? Why is Twilight achieving her destiny such a bad thing? Would you be this pissed off if Rainbow Dash became a Wonderbolt? If EqG is anything to go by, Twilight has not changed. She is nervous about the whole thing and even doubts her abilities as a leader. That is the thing, she is not done learning. This just shows that she is capable of being a princess. Celestia herself said that she is not done learning yet, but now they can learn something form her. 

 

Also, so what if they show Twilight trying to adjust to princesshood? That is called ADVANCEMENT. That is called CHANGE. I know many bronies hate that concept, but I personally see it as a great thing. Without change, things will get stagnant. These are great characters and this is a great world that they have created. If there is no advancement, then I feel that the world and its characters cannot be fully realized. 

 

Twilight will still be Twilight. Tara Strong has said this. EqG basically confirmed this. I love the Twilicorn thing obviously. It shows how far she has come as a character. I love seeing that and because of this, I look forward to seeing other characters achieve their destiny down the line, whatever they may be. Your point with Lesson Zero, yeah, she messed up pretty bad there, but she LEARNED from it. That is another thing. What is the point of these characters actually learning these special things if they are not going to mean ANYTHING? 

 

I do not mean to step on anyone's toes with this, I hope I did not. All of this is just my opinion, I am just very passionate about it is all. That is all we can have is an opinion. I do not expect to sway anyone's view on it, I just needed to rant.

That is a great point. I loved the movie as well. I absolutely adore it. It had it's flaws yes, but they were pretty much what I had expected. This scene in particular, was one of those flaws actually. It just went by way too fast. I still enjoyed it of course, it still made me laugh, it just happened a bit too quickly. I never thought about it this way though and that makes me view the scene in a much better light. I never looked at it in a bad light of course, it just wasn't one of my favorite scenes. Thanks to you, it might be one of them now. 

 

That makes me happy to see others enjoying the movie as much as I did and actually having a positive attitude. That seems to becoming a bit of a rare thing in the fandom now, which is really sad. Still, I happy to see this positive attitude.   /)

This is perfect proof that this fandom does not know what it really wants. If they would not have done those things, I can guarantee people would have bitched about that too. So, DHX can never win anymore, thanks to this fandom. I actually loved all of the things you mentioned, so it actually improved my viewing of the movie, which was already good to begin with.

Not very good, it seems society is getting more idiotic. Nuclear weapons are getting into the hands of plenty of bad people and American 'leaders' are dumb as rocks. Plus, the economy doesn't seem to be getting much better and many people in America want to make it a theocracy, apparently. Media will more than likely not improve. It will either stay stagnant or deteriorate. Music is not about self expression if you want to be successful and television is atrocious for the most part. Art may still hold its place, but who cares about that when we have Swamp People?!

 

So, I do not have a positive outlook on the future. I may post something a little more positive when I am in more of a positive mood, which will take a while.

I cannot think of too many names right now, but my favorite has to be Undertaker, back in the day that is. He did his role so well and I love that it was actually controversial. Garbage, street name Modern Day Wresting, every wrestler just seems like an obvious market scheme. They may have been that back then too, but at least it was still good. John Cena....Ugh...Such a damn tool. Many of them are actually, now at least. Plus, the storylines are...well, the storylines would be something if there actually WAS any type of storyline anymore. 

Viva Pinata: A fun and light hearted village builder type game. The graphics are very charming and the music is fantastic. Probably the only majorly good game that Rare has made this gen...Besides Kameo, speaking of which..

 

Kameo: Elements of Power: This was a launch title for the 360, but it is a good game still. It is a beat 'em up/platformer/adventure game. 

 

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection: 3 awesome games for $30-$40 depending on where you get it, what is not to love?

 

Mortal Kombat: Brutal and bloody yet still a good fighting game. Can easily be gotten for $20.

 

Sleeping Dogs: Originally True Crime: Hong Kong, this is an open world game set in Hong Kong. You play as an undercover cop. The driving mechanics are great and the combat is very Batman inspired.

 

Driver San Francisco: Another open world game, but you only drive. The driving mechanics are spot on (I cannot drive though, so how would I know? ) All of the vehicles are actually real licensed cars.

 

Crysis 2: A fairly unique shooter with great graphics and gameply. Can be found for cheap.

 

Those are just some that I have thought of randomly.
