I may have just quoted you both eight times. I had posted that when I was so tired, the image thing was certainly an after thought. Recently acquired my brother's old wacom and have been trying to use it everywhere. I'll try to post some stuff in the art section, but it's mostly incomplete OC doodles of friends and myself. Just wanted to say, at first I was irked by the minimum character limit imposed on posts, but I've yet to really run into it stopping me from posting anything. I have to admit, it probably forces users to actually post meaningfully instead of one word posts. I know it's rare and usually not helpful, but this is some positive feedback of things being done right! Thinking as I type - The only time this might be a problem is if users wanted to communicate solely through doodles, like if mlpforums had DA's muro. Ah! Getting off subject, great job with the site! ps - the big avatars also make the site look better, but that's more of an opinion.

First of all, I wanted to say it's interesting to see a forum allow such discussion. I'm very used to forums specifically warning users not to discuss religion or politics. Anyway. I voted Atheist. I guess as it was said earlier (page one I think), that could change, especially considering how wildly my prospective has changed over the years. I suppose my reasoning goes along with the sense that, I've no reason to believe there is anything else. I'm drawing a blank on which philosopher it was that thought there should be a church for Atheists because he thought religions were mostly supported by people that didn't actually believe in the ideology, but rather stuck around for the sociability. That statement really struck me, as I was just speaking with one of my professors on that matter. That he attended a church that had a group of some sort called, "Curing the Gay" to which he completely disagrees with, yet continues to attend this church. If I run across the article I'll likely edit this post with some quotes as he worded much better than I can at the moment. Initially I was trying to read through all the previous posts and realized there were 49 pages of them I'll likely read through backwards a bit and quote ponies if I have anything to say. Else I'll just be keeping my eye on this thread to see where things go!

Sorry I've been away as well! That's all wonderful to hear! I like what Octavia had to say, first posting, "....I'll have to read it." and ending with, "That actually made a lot more sense, and made a lot more strong points than I honestly thought it would...." As a side note, we weren't able to go over all of the Republic in my course. It's still one of my favorite works tho, so expect me back here or commenting on EqD sometime after finals

Oh my goodness! I've thoroughly enjoyed this! Through the first few pages I kept thinking, "Oh this kinda sounds like Karl" and then BAM. "...bourgeoisie by Karl Marx" I've almost finished the philosophy major here at EIU and we are about to read the Republic in one of my last courses. (I have read it before, but it's been a while and wasn't too enthusiastic the first time ) I'll likely have more to say after we read it with our professor, but thus far I love the comparisons and everything seems correct from what I can remember about the book and the show. Fun stuff my friend! Keep up the good work! If I may ask, are you a philosophy major?

Sorry to disappoint, I'm not in the in the fire service or military. Only the second ever to ask about that! I use this name everywhere and has built a bit of meaning behind it. Doesn't make for a good story so wont bother writing about it Nice little tour actually! Beats stumbling through all the subforums trying to learn the place.
