Japanese culture wants women to speak and behave in a certain way, women even speak the language differently from men.The mane 6 are all women and their behavior is pretty radical in japan.

Twenty years ago, perhaps, but cultural norms have been undergoing a major shift for the past decade or so. No one in any position to do anything about it really cares.

Decided to cross my favorite villain with my favorite League champ. Still not quite finished with the lineart, and the flames are crap, but it's getting there.

I need to get a tablet. They apparently make a massive difference. Nice drawings. The pinkie one scares me. XD

Great test run! I always thought that Tablets made a big difference...

 

You also have a more unique style of pony art, compared to other people: that's good! How much does the tablet cost though? I was looking into prices at some point, and it seemed way too steep.

Currently downloading Sonic Generations, I've been hearing good things about it.

 

Generations was awesome, although I personally would have liked the modern stages more if game play had borrowed a bit more from SA/2, just not a big fan of the on rails style that Secret Rings introduced.

I would personally recommend SAI, at least to start with. Photoshop is great if you actually need all the features it offers, but its overkill for most illustration work. At least in my opinion...

So after finally getting internet back, I spent the night fighting with my new tablet and SAI. This was the end result:

My intent was to get everything set up to emulate a pencil sketch as closely as possible. I think I may have have been a little to successful, as it's a little messier than I would like, but eh, whatever...

Loved this episode. My only real complaint is the absence of the rest of the main cast, but I suppose they wouldn't really have contributed anything anyway.

BananaSplit is just a cute permutation of my usual handle.

I was pretty impressed with Sonic Generations and Portal 2, and I know Skyward Sword will be awesome, just need to get around to buying it.

I was a little disappointed with Skyrim, but I blame that on getting it for 360, I'll have to remember to pick it up for PC at some point.

Oh and of course Minecraft is always awesome, but I've been playing that for so long I don't really think of it as an '11 game.

Hey everypony, I figured it was time to finally get a little more involved in the community.

I'm a 22 year old guy from the U.S., currently employed as a trainee electrician and HVAC tech. In my spare time I like to write and draw; or if I'm feeling particularly lazy, which is practically always, play video games.

I'm joining mostly because it's been a very long time since I was part of a community that I actually had something in common with. I host and maintain a small forum, but over time my interests have diverged rather radically from those of the other members, so these days I generally just keep the place running and leave them to their own devices.

I've been a brony since late January. A friend of mine introduced me to the show, and I was hooked after the first episode. In fact, I think I watched all the way up to Feeling Pinkie Keen in one sitting. I've never really been able to settle on a favorite pony, but it's probably either Pinkie or Rarity. My favorite episode this far is The Cutie Mark Chronicles, but I have a feeling that spot is going to be taken by whatever episode that leaked Pinkie song shows up in.
