  1. Got the DmC Plat. Way too many superfluous playthroughs but glad I did it. Next up is Yakuza Kiwami. I've heard this is a long Plat so I better buckle down. Maybe it'll fill the month and a half to Kingdom Hearts 3.
  2. Eh, that's a pointless distinction to make imo. It has the Sonic name and characters in it so it's officially a Sonic game. I rather enjoy when games do something new and different.
  3. Oh I see what you're doing. Took me reading through the old posts to get it. Still, I also enjoyed Sonic 06 for the same reasons. I was able to look past the bad development and see the real game underneath.
  4. A game that took Sonic into a completely different direction again. It kinda tried to be more of a ruins exploration type of game with a bit more focus on combat and building a new world (which a TV series by the same name would be based on later) but the game was shoddily made by a developer who clearly had no idea what they were really doing. I don't know how the 3DS games will be but I liked Sonic Boom for what it was trying to be and I'm definitely willing to give the subseries a chance to be itself. I'll also have to watch the TV series at some point too but so far I can't find a decent DVD collection for it and I'd rather avoid watching it online.
  5. Don't get me wrong, I love the series. It's just not quite the same as the comics which flesh things out so much more.
  6. It'll be worth it in the end when Sora starts cutting buildings in half and outpacing Sephiroth in sheer prowess.
  7. I finished the first season of To-Love Ru. I'm not sure whether I'm gonna watch the next season of that next or skip over to Casshern Sins and go back to it later. I've been doing that a lot with longer series so I don't get burnt out on it. 25-ish episodes is the perfect length for a series. That's usually about how long my patience lasts.
  8. I still have some catching up to do on the franchise so that, the 3DS Sonic Boom games and maybe Sonic Mania will be my next few purchases.
  9. Awww yeah. Beat DmC's Dante Must Die mode. I'll have this Plat by the end of the weekend.

  10. Ha, I just noticed an animation error in the Ducktales episode "Merit-time Adventure". When they're eating right before the sea monster attacks Webby's eyes disappear for a frame. I rarely notice that sort of stuff so it's nice to catch it for myself instead of being told.

  11. But then you got the podrace, young Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, and the whole final fight with Darth Maul.
  12. Huh. Apparently they debunked the theory that the Final Fantasy series was named so because it was originally going to be Squaresoft's last game. It literally could have been any word that started with F to match the Fantasy bit. Final just sounded cool.

I'm sure I'll figure it out once I start playing it :)

There's also rumours that Sephiroth might be coming to Smash as DLC :o

I wouldn't be surprised. He's as iconic as Cloud for the series.

  13. I don't understand the fascination the film industry has with making everything into live action or any sort of equivalent. It doesn't work, doesn't look good even with a high budget, and in cases like this laughs in the face of what being a cartoon is even about.
  14. It remains my favorite Star Wars film. It wasn't the first I watched when it came out but it was the one that kept my attention the most for sure.
  15. That moment when you get so caught up in a comic's world that when it finally ends and you have to read something else. Such a jarring transition. I wasn't ready for it to be over.

  16. Not completely but it would certainly make life easier during the work week. Regardless of what I eat (short of going full vegeterian or something) I seem to spend an unfortunate amount of time in the bathroom each day. Not having to eat anything would help with that.
  17. I can honestly say I don't care about their existence in the slightest. It doesn't affect me in any way so why should I?
  18. You're not wrong. It's easy to tell others they should put their lives, or their childrens lives in this case, on the line for such a thing but another thing to do it yourself. That's part of why they're done without consent because few willingly would potentially cripple themselves or worse for the sake of scientific advancement. Personally, I'm just playing devil's advocate. I don't actually care about society enough to even consider it.
  19. I needed a change. I was basically forcing myself to play Lunar 2 and Tomba 2 the last few days or so and wasn't really having any fun. So instead I'm playing DmC: Devil May Cry and Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 3. I played DmC on 360 originally so now I'm doing it again on PS3 for the trophies. Neptunia is just tons of good fun. I've never laughed at a video game the way I do at Neptunia.
  20. Random pet peeve of the day: when you go to buy a music album and find out there's no MP3 version for sale or you're required to buy a CD to get it. I don't even have any devices that can play CDs anymore. Fuck you and your archaic media. :|

...okay then. Just get a CD player.

I have neither the need nor the space for it. I'm not buying a CD player for two or three albums. If they don't want their music accessible then they don't get my sale, simple as that.

  21. I can't say I've ever noticed a discernable difference. It'll all melt anyway and do what it's meant to do.
  22. This might sound a bit cruel but if the only way to advance as a species, particularly as far as disease resistence goes, it may be required to break the rules like this. A lot of advances in medical science were made from unethical experiments in the first place. We live in a society where it's not super necessary since most first world countries are relatively safe but given more extreme circumstances this sort of thing may become a necessity.
  23. There's been a lot over the years but to name a few: The Nameless One from Planescape: Torment Hei from Darker Than Black Saitama from One Punch Man Gabriel Belmont from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Grey and Lucy from Fairy Tail The Emperor of Mankind, Garviel Loken, Gunner Ferik Jurgen and Caiphus Cain from Warhammer 40,000 Kenji Kazama from D-Frag Patrick Star from Spongebob Squarepants Various versions of Dr. Robotnik/Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog Riku and Xehanort from Kingdom Hearts The list could go on and on and on but I'll stop there. These are all characters that have stood out to me in one way or another. Ones I'll remember for a very long time.
  24. Probably more like this. Or they worked in tandem. I can definitely say a desire to understand more was born from text heavy games I saw when I was a child though.
