    I'm all about equality, but there are better venues than a show for 4-7yo girls. This is MLP, not Dawson's Creek. I was joking with someone earlier about how awkward it'd have to be to animate Dash and Flutters being intimate. Imagine the notes and revisions on THAT! Hell imagine the recording session for the VAs. I'm definitely saying no thanks to this one.

    We got a metric shit ton more info this year than we did last year at the NY Toy Fair.     all the time, actually. I tweet a lot with Tim Stuby, one of the new Directors, and I've given Andrea Libman free passes to Disney on a couple occasions. it was nice to give back to her after she's done such a great job as a VA. Tim is a really cool dude.

    What if Mares wear clothes whenever they're in heat? It both covers up the obvious signs and indicates they're in the mood. Now think about this.....Rarity is always wearing clothes........ Kinda puts a new spin on what her job is and how it contributes to society.

    I was kinda lost at where the episode was going through the first 2 acts, and thought the episode was going to be a historic bomb, but the 3rd act I thought was phenomenal. I like seeing a brand new character, especially a male, and he isn't a complete moron, or useless in some way. edit: not a fan of the song, but hey, you can't like them all.

    They're a waste of time if you find yourself there for reasons other than the main purpose of the forum. It's easy to get carried away on off topic garbage. I used to find myself arguing politics on the Howard Stern fan boards. imagine the intellectual quality of people that place had. I see people on mmo-champion's forums screaming about feminism, religion or war. Ultimately it can cause you to associate that forum or even the original purpose of the forum with feelings of anger. I've been in a place where I was so invested in arguing that I lost sight of why i should have been there. I lost a lot of enjoyment from watching this show due to the negative interactions I had with some of its fans. That's a mistake I would never repeat again, but sadly I can't have that time back when the show was still new and shiny.

    This. Little girls have never heard of Gift of the Magi, so it's new to them, and a nod to those who are familiar with the story. What matters is the execution, and here I'd say that was done well.

    The characters have to be coherent, endearing, deep (to an extent), and not come off as overly naive. The writing has to have a wit and humor that speaks to an adult's sensibilities, and finally, it all has to come from a position of complete authenticity. MLP has these features, and it's why I'm glad to have been willing to judge it based on the quality of its content, rather than blindly reject it out of hand because of its intended demographic.
