Being a jerk here, I kinda hope Hasbro/DHX gets the balls to turn the rest of the mane6 into alicorns. Just do it, get it over with, and throw caution into the wind. It still irks me about the whole ascension thing, and I get the feeling Celestia used the rest of the mane6 as training manuals/fodder for Twilight. With Twilight now the embodiement of their teachings, she could cast them off little problem if need be. It's also howTwilight is being paraded around as a princess that irritates me, with the Hub's little commercial for the vote for pony thing saying "Vote for Twilight because she's a princess," and it made me wonder if Twilight is the only pony special enough amongst the mane6 that deserved the right to be ascended. They probably won't ascend the others since some ponies need to grovel at the hooves of others to make them elevated/royalty. Final thing I'll add is something I came across on Derpibooru where an individual took a look at McCarthy's words. Though it's an attempt at trolling, it had an element of possible truth. It asked/wondered if Twilight will outlive her friends physically, but she won't outlive their memories. Since others say we miss interpret Meghan McCarthy's words, example being with Equestria Girls not being canon to MLPFIM, then I'll go with all bets being off. Heck, maybe we should have Twilight ascend beyond Celestia and become some kind of God pony that outshines her and rules over the entire planet. Edit: Had some time to think, and it got me curious about Discord. Is Celestia preparing Twilight for her immortal life? Was Discord freed, Fluttershy reforming him, so Twilight doesn't go through what Princess Celestia did as the sun princess watched all those she came to love and care for die for over 1000 years while her sister was imprisoned.

Depends upon "which" of my OCs we're talking about. Two of them probably wouldn't be liked by many people because they would be considered Gary Stu types. Don't feel like going R34 with one character *rolls eyes*, so it would be interesting to spend time as Genepool who I considered a little bit more of my "ponysonae" if you will. Could see myself running to the Ponyville library to grab some books, and then be quick to get back to the Advanced Equestria Research Institute (AERIS), enabling me to get back to Scarlet who's my confidant and research partner. Would be kind of lonely as my other OC since he's a recluse, due to several reasons.

Yup. Sibsy's OC was a complete surprise and I personally liked it when she first appeared. Viewers weren't beaten over the head with it. Heck, the pony wasn't even called wildfire and she was just seen arguing. I do wonder if it would be too much if Twilight interacted with her/hugged her for a bit of a nod/reference to Tara Strong's connection with Kiki, but kept it at that bare minimum. Would more than likely take it too far if they did a song with Kiki's OC singing/starting it and Twilight joined in.

Shows, movies, and games a like will send out references to other forms of media, either big or small. To make a long story short, there's an in game reference, or rather a tribute, to a player that passed away who enjoyed the Borderlands 2 game. With the passing of Kiki, i'm wondering how many people would be accepting if the MLPFIM crew put her OC into the show as a tribute/nod to the little girl. Mentioned this in a livestream chat and some said there would be so many feels if the crew did this. Would you be accepting of this kind of thing if the show's crew did it? Or would you believe the show is continuing it's pandering to fans?

Rainbow Dash: Have to agree that she isn't lesbian and is probably bi or bi-curious. Fluttershy: Straight but too afraid for commitments/relationships and prefers to "stay friends" and such. Pinkie Pie: I don't know and don't want to know. Rarity: Bi-Curious as she's a lady and doesn't want to "limit" her option when it comes to love. Want to see her hook up with Spike, but that's been downplayed. Guess it will never happen. Twilight: Straight because she's by the rules and now a princess who needs her "Prince Charming." Applejack: Relationships would get in the way of her workload. Probably straight because she would want to settle down with a family.

I'm with others where I hope it doesn't go as long as 9 to 12+ seasons. The show has the potential to last for about 2 more seasons, possibly 3 beyond S4. Thought we have explored a lot, there are stil areas of Equestria we can explore and beyond its borders. We've never seen anything beyond Equestria and I would love to see Saddle Arabia with some malefic Genie of sorts. Dig really deep into the middle eastern mythology and you can find some awesome stuff. Example would be the Ruda of Arabian mythos where it's a protective diety. Could pull a switcheroo where Fluttershy leads the party this time as she believes this creature, who is in disguise, is genuinely concerned about the saddle arabian people while an opposing deity is trying to divide them. Fluttershy ends up saving the day opposed to Twilight. They've already mentioned Tartarus which would be an awesome place to have a story and even talk about those bat winged ponies, giving them a name. According to Google's Translator, the latin name for Children of the night is Filii Noctis. Rather appropriate name, or perhaps Nocturna. tl;dr answer Go beyond 9 seasons, no. The material will get stale. Go to 6, maybe 7 seasons for MLPFIM? That wouldn't be bad imho.

Mrs. Cake cheated on Mr. Cake! In all seriousness though, I don't think Alicorns are an actual race, more that they're some kind of "evolution" of sorts of regular ponies. Only thing that irritates me is that we've seen a unicorn ascened and read about Cadence being a pegasus, but Earth ponies get the short end of the 3 way stick. Still wondering if Luna was an earth pony, celestia was a unicorn and with Cadence, it forms a triangle of sorts. Just hope Twilight doesn't ascend for a second time to become "princess of princesses" and all.

Do I hate Twilight? No. Do I like what's happened to her? No, but I accept it. What makes me dislike all of it is the idea of "ascensions" and the marketing power it gives to Hasbro. It gives them the ability to arbitrarily turn whatever pony they want into a princess, have the writers give em a backstory to make it sound "legit," and then proceed to market a toy towards it. I truly, TRULY loved the balance that was struck between a show for pure product and a story driven cartoon, a "good" story driven cartoon mind you. Just couldn't feel anything but disgust as MMC aired, then I saw this like buffet of "Pretty, Pretty Princess Twilight Sparkle" that was shoved onto the masses like Hasbro was hemorraging money and needed to act as a bandaid to plug the cracks of the dam. With alicorns, they were unique if it just remaind Celestia and Luna. Hell, I was one of the few who didn't mind Cadence because she had little to no backstory. Now, Alicorns are just some product device to shove onto the kiddies. My understanding of Hasbro's logic regarding alicorns is this, "Alicorns are special because they embody earth, pegasus, and unicorn ponies into one. All little girls are daddy's/mommy's "special" little kid. Thus, it should be said that little girls are equatable to Alicorns because they want to be princesses and be special." Said it numerous before, what I truly expect to see in S4 is an "Island of Princesses" where there are indeed 53 alicorns: Aliscira. McCarthy's statement was more than likely in jest, but I am extremely trepidatious of what she says right now. Comments being good, bad, or inbetween. Also, at this point in time, I say just make the rest of the mane6 alicorns and screw their "destinies" that they've chosen. Just make them princesses, give em their prince charmings, and just have it happen to sell the toys.

I don't think the writers would just do it out of sheer necessity by "giving in" to the demands of the Twilicorn/Alicorn Twilight haters. Several people have really solid foundations for their dislike of the studious pony's ascension, and pretty much the concept of princess ascension in general. Other people, well, they're just haters and will hate on anything. I could truly foresee the writers doing something reminiscent of Disney's Hercules where there's an event where Twilight decides to sacrifce her princessdom because certain events related to said princessdom would cause her to be separated from her friends. Though McCarthy said Twilight wouldn't outlive her friends, there's nothing to say she can't/won't be separated from them. Also, we have to remember that even though DHX is given a certain level of autonomy, Hasbro is slowly assuming more control over the show with DHX having to relinquish the autonomy they once had.

Yup. If Hasbro believes they could market a new lineup of core Mane6 alicorn figures, they'll go ahead with it and do it. Also, I don't trust McCarthy's statement about Twilight not outliving her friends. Hasbro has the final say in everything. Twilight Outliving her friends, finding a new mane6, enabling the show to sell toys of a whole new group and continue the series, you bet your sweet flank Hasbro will make the call to do it. Characters will get stale, all will be investigated, and they will change things up by having Twilight become immortal like Celestia. They won't exactly replace Celestia since they want more princesses, but they'll push her to the side as Twilight assumes control over Equestria. Personally, i'm still waiting for the 53 alicorns McCarthy talked about. Think they'll introduce Princess Island this season, or do a Mount Olympus style thing where only alicorns can go and we see a bunch of goddesses/alicorns/princesses throughout the years.

I have to say yes, she is a manipulator to a certain extent. Personally, I see it more as her pushing them down a particular path when the individual/pony may want to do it a different way. This doesn't mean she's self-absorbed to the point she believes it's only her way that works and she knows "everything" about "everything," however, I do wonder if this is what caused Luna to turn. Perhaps Celestia kept pushing Luna down a particular path and the ponies viewed Celestia as the "wise ruler" who knew "what was best" to do in all situations. Luna became jealous of this notion as Celestia kept getting the recognition and became Nightmare Moon because of it.

-I EXTREMELY dislike Twilight turning into a Princess, don't hate her just hate what happened to her -I dislike Twilight being shoved to the forefront as a poster pony for G4 instead of all of the mane6 -I liked Cadence and didn't mind her being turned into an Alicorn -I hate the idea of "ascension" being the way a pony turns into an alicorn/princess -I hate how things are going more towards Princess material vs the stuff in S1 and S2 -I dislike Applejack being thought of as a Background Pony and receiving little credit -I dislike how Unicorn and Pegasi get decent antagonists/are the antagonist vs Earth Ponies

I'll be skeptical since we've had a few problems with the fandom interacting with the show's creators. With that said however, I do hope to see some nods to the fandom, nods/references to other shows/movies/TV series and the like with future episodes. It's really made MLPFIM stand out from the crap that you see with the newer Sponge Bobs, opposed to the older ones. Hope to see Derpy return to her original position as a "Where's Waldo" type pony, fans picking her out of a crowd.

Just reminds me of those idiots who wanted Pokemon banned because it was "Summoning demonic creatures" and would turn kids towards "Satanism," as well as Sponge Bob and Patrick holding hands in one episode promoting "unhealthy/unapproved ideas" towards younger children. There are people in the fandom who are a little too obsessed with things, and there are some things which are kind of disturbing, but these things exist within any fandom. I mean holy freaking crap, I forgot to turn on safe browsing one time and came upon an image of Bart banging Lisa simpson. People need to take things with a grain of salt and just relax.

Not sure to be honest. Probably say a unicorn stallion like Shining Armor/Fancy Pants. I like to study/research things, and I find myself physical fit to do the jobs necessary to help out around the house. As for where I would fit in, that's hard to say as well. Probably wouldn't do well in Canterlot, so maybe Ponyville doing odd jobs around the place.

Yea, arguing on youtube -- hell, even having a discussion via youtube comments is a moot point. Out of the 100+ comments i've gone through, made, and posted up, about 1% of them have been pleasent with an individual that had the rare qualities I thought lost on humanity, common sense and a brain to use. Thank Celestia for 75% of the brony community that actually have a brain and common sense. The other 10 to 15% of them are annoying but ok, while the rest are just obsessed fans or jerks in the fandom just to get their giggles on to say they "belonged" to something.

Agreed. For me, it wasn't about that whole "it doesn't involve ponies" thing. It's just the whole Highschool setting that puts me off. Just way too dang cliche, and it's been done to death. Both bronies and non-bronies know it was Hasbro's sad attempt to get in on the Monster High crowd. Only difference between a turd and a shiny turd is the amount of polishing. DHX has the talent, and they polished it into one heck of a shiny turd imho. Personally, I just hope Equestria Girls stays a movie, not receiving any type of series TV show. The one thing I am getting irritated at is the personification of Twilight as the poster pony of the whole G4 scene. I'm waiting for them to rename the whole thing My Little Pony: Twilight is Special/Wonderful/Awesome/Unique/Magic/Magical/insertwordofyourchoice.

All I can do is say "Overprotective" with some of the parents. There was an article on some website that said that characters like Celestia were too slender, belonging on a stripper pole. I have a couple of gripes with Equestria Girls, one being the HS setting. It. Is. Done. To. Death. Both in Eastern and Western animation styles. DHX has the talent, the ability, and the skill to pull it off, however, I just feel there are some areas which can't be worked on that well. MLPFIM I came into with a skeptical eye, but relented after a while because it had solid writing, animation, VA work, music, etc.... Equestria Girls, it just gives me that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I hated the concept designs, yet I was patient. I didn't start really going full force on the movie until I saw the synopsis, extended synopsis, post-concept designs, the first trailer, and the final trailer. Equestria Girls is one thing that I will definitely be skipping.
