  1. True. The only difference is mine is vastly superior. And no, I will not take you up on a battle once the RP starts. Dry Skin aint that great against fire types. You understand, no? <3
  2. It's the Vs Recorder. You'll get it the first time you visit Kiloude City, if I remember correctly.
  3. First things first, are you a boy or a girl? A girl, obviously. What's your name? It's Stella. Briefly, what do you look like? I have long, red hair ((Please see my avatar. I can't explain the style for the life of me.)), which perfectly contrasts pretty much every part of my outfit. I wear a dark green trench coat dress, and boots of the same colour that go up to my knees. I have bright green eyes as well. Give us a quick idea for your personality. I could care less for what people think of me, as I much prefer the company of pokemon. Through all the regions I've travelled, I've never travelled with someone (Despite their best efforts), and I do not intend to. Pokemon are much better company anyway. I also am known to be fairly overconfident. I think in the heat of the moment. If something requires thought through a long period of time, don't expect me to get it. Where are you from originally? I'm from Hoenn, though I recently travelled through Kalos. How old are you? 19, though I look older, I guess. What (one) pokemon are you bringing along on your adventure? (And what moves does it know?) That'd be my darling Helioptile. While I was traveling through Kalos, I caught one and raised it into a Heliolisk. I figured using the heir to him would be fun. She currently knows Charge, Parabolic Charge, Thunder Wave, and Grass Knot ((Not sure if that last one's too OP for right now. If it is, replace with Flash.)). Her ability is Dry Skin.
  4. Togekiss took her attention away from Oddish when she realized she wasn't going to get an answer. She then acknowledged a new arrival. It seemed to look at her as if it knew her, but she had no time to address something of the sort. Oddish broke out of her daze and reanimated in a way only Oddish could. "Oh, my bad! Sorry. I got sidetracked!" Oddish said, bouncing around yet again. "I've put together an exploration team known as Team Radiance! So we're going to a Mystery Dungeon, but we wanted to see if anyone was hurt." She explained to Togekiss, then turned her attention back to Vulpix. "No need to worry! These kind of things happen all the time here!" Togekiss appeared to be internally screaming, though her calm demeanor might prove otherwise to those who couldn't read facial expressions well. She merely nodded in response to Oddish's exposition. "Well, I wish you luck, then." She said, quietly. The entrance to the Mystery Dungeon was only a bit south of the rockslide. It was almost in viewing distance from it. The entrance merely looked like the entrance two a cave. Three figures could be seen slipping into it, but it was unknown who they were. @@Snowy Storm, @, @, @, @@Ampharos, ((Feel free to send your character to the Mystery Dungeon entrance. Everyone should be heading there soon.))
  5. @@Ampharos, I think I'm currently in a bit too many RPs for my liking, and this one is a bit too fast for me. So I'm gonna have to drop it. Sorry for the inconvience.
  6. ((Tis all good, so long as I get my adorable little Mincinno.)) Stella sighed and shook her head. "Excellent work, Mienfoo." Mienfoo nodded in response to the compliment, then attempted to shake Mincinno's hand. Or paw, rather. Stella then crouched down beside the Mincinno. "Are you alright?" She asked, in the most soothing voice she could muster.
  7. Stella rubbed the back of her head. Her face displayed a mixture of annoyance and disappointment. "Dammit, Mienfoo. I told you to protect the Mincinno. Not attack it." Mienfoo blinked and apologetically scratched the back of her head. She then bowed to the Mincinno, trying to apologize. The vulnerable state led Mienfoo to being hit in the back by the Karate Chop. Once Pancham had backed off slightly, Mienfoo jumped up and tried to hit it with another Pound.
  8. I actually don't want one. x3 I only said my character did because they're rare. But I'd much prefer a Minccino. Since there's already some on Route 2, you could always just go there. It's not like it's far, or something.
  9. Quick question; Will you be deciding when pokemon learn moves and evolve? This seems to be different with every RP, so I'd hate to just stick my Mienfoo to Pound and Meditate the entire time when I could be teaching her other things. x3
  10. "Protect Mincinno, Mienfoo!" Stella commanded. Mienfoo then blocked the Pancham's incoming attack with another Pound. This was much easier, as Pancham had just thrown it's whole body at it. Stella had decided that if she was going to capture a pokemon here, she'd capture the Mincinno. It suited her more, and she didn't need two fighting types. "Alright. Use Pound, but try not to hurt it." Mienfoo then used it's free arm to hit Pancham again, trying to do nothing but throw the other pokemon back. The whole ordeal would probably be a lot easier if Mienfoo knew more than two moves.
  11. Stella caught up with Mienfoo just in time to see her block a Karate Chop with a Pound attack. Such a move was very risky, but it seemed to pay off, as neither Pancham or Mienfoo seemed hurt. "Mienfoo!" Stella yelled at her partner. Acting without permission was idiotic. But, they couldn't exactly leave now. "Alright... Use Meditate, I guess." Mienfoo stood between the Minnico and Pancham. She looked to be concentrating.
  12. All of Sinnoh is cold. So Sinnoh is basically just Canada, which is pretty normal kinda sorta.
  13. @@Ampharos, ((I'll be going the same route as Cedric. So, if that's not okay using the info you gave for him, just let me know and ignore this post.)) "Thank you." Stella said, after she had retrieved her pokedex. But, she was quick to leave. Not bothering to converse with the other trainers, or professor anymore. Stella wanted to head out to the next route as soon as possible. She went to the nearest route she could find. One near the pokemart. There seemed to be a trainer already here. But more importantly, there were quite a few pokemon. Stella looked around the route and grinned. There were certainly quite a few pokemon around. Stella first saw the Eevee. Quite a rare pokemon. Then she saw the Starly and Pidgeys. Starly was a pokemon she rather liked, but Mienfoo might have a hard time battling one. An Eevee would be the better choice. "Alright, Mienfoo. Let's go catch one of-" The girl was cut off by an unseen presence. Literally unseen, as the Mienfoo had disappeared. It had run off towards the scuffle between the Pancham and Minnico. "Mienfoo! Wait!" Stella called after the pokemon, chasing after her. Mienfoo seemed to want to settle the debate between the two pokemon. Probably due to Pancham's typing.
  14. Since you didn't answer in the RP, I'll ask again here. Am I allowed to pick Mienfoo's ability and gender, or were those given to me and I'm just blind? Sorry for the trouble if the latter is true. x3
  15. Comet merely ignored Revvy. She wasn't exactly the forgiving type, unless she liked the person before they did something to get on her bad side. But, it would be incredibly rude to completely ignore the boy. "First impressions are everything, you know." She said, crouching down to where the Growlithe and Serperior were playing. This was true with this case as well. Serperior was never playful, but was being so to entice the pokemon to join their party. "Mess up that, and don't be surprised should it be hard to win a person's favour." Comet then extended her hand to the Growlithe, making sure to not get too close. In a soft, soothing tone, she spoke to it. "Hello there. Would you like to join us? Serperior quite likes you, and I rather like you as well."
  16. ((My internet decided to go down right before I posted. Apologies.)) @@Ampharos, "I suppose we are late, my friend." A girl with long red hair said, upon arrival to the small town. "Though there was not a specific time we were meant to be here, the earlier the better, correct?" She didn't seem to be talking to anything, as there was no people or pokemon alike in sight. Well, there was, but they were nowhere near hearing distance of her. "Alas, there is no point doddling here. Let us make haste." She said, entering the signature lab of the starting town in this region. The thing the girl had been talking to finally made itself known. It had seemingly been hiding in her hair before, but now slung itself over the girl's shoulder. There appeared to be two other trainers at the lab. So, she wasn't terribly late after all. One of the trainers seemed to have a pokemon with them as well, while the opposing one seemed very impolite. Hopefully she would not have to converse with the likes of him. "I never quite understood why pokedexes are so different for every region. Getting multiple is quite a waste of time. But oh well. I suppose we should make ourselves known." The trainer whispered in a low voice to her partner. Approaching the professor she had forgotten the name of, and ignoring the other two trainers, the girl spoke up. "Hello, Proffessor. I am Stella, and I am here to retrieve a pokedex. My apologies if this is bad timing." ((Since you didn't mention it, I'm inferring I'll get to pick Mienfoo's gender/ability? I might have missed it, if you said anything. x3 But if you didn't, I would quite like her to be a girl, and to have the ability Reckless or Regenerator if I can't use the HA, if that's alright.))
  17. I didn't get a mention. So apologies that I have not posted yet.
  18. "Hmm..." Comet thought aloud, thoughtfully. "Well, I suppose that makes sense..." Jared's response was a bit puzzling. She still wanted to know if he was a follower of Victini or not. His words earlier did sound like he was, but it might have been just common talk from the distant region of Sinnoh. Which in itself was odd, as Victini was a legendary pokemon from Unova, not Sinnoh. But she wouldn't let it bother her... Much, anyway. "Alright. Probably a good idea. Serperior seems to like that one more anyway." Serperior nodded, as it was a fan of the Growlithe a bit more than the Vulpix. But... she wanted Comet to catch both, and there was only one Vulpix, as far as she could tell. Serperior was just about to go up to the Growlithe who had licked her earlier again, when she heard something. And said something sounded very annoying. Comet rolled her eyes at the boy's statement. How annoying he was. They were merely headed the same way. The same could be said for him. Was he envious that Comet followed the superior legendary? Hmph. Whatever. "I'm afraid I can't. Such luck is so terrible there must be an Absol around. Such wouldn't surprise me." She retorted. "Though perhaps the disaster of me having to look at you and hear your voice can be easily avoided by one keeping to their own business." Serperior chuckled softly, not feeling any need to retaliate against the boy as well. Plus, if she did, she'd probably just get her head hit again. The serpent slithered back to the Growlithe and playfully called at it again.
  19. Serperior tilted her head back at the Purrloin. It was annoying. Soooo annoying. How was she supposed to please Comet if she could not lead these pokemon back to her? The pokemon then noticed something circling overhead. Whatever it was, it didn't look all that friendly. Oh the bother. Serperior had to get these pokemon to like her, as to lead them back to her trainer. "Oh...?" Comet said in response to Jared's question. She wasn't quite sure how to answer such a question. And she couldn't dodge it either. Oh well. This could be useful, actually. No one would suspect the fact she was "following" a pokemon was odd, unless they to were following one. Excellent. "Well, there just so happens to be a pokemon I follow and adore of the fire type." Comet said, in a very calm and collected voice. "Your Noivern is also part of it's typing, I believe. Though, don't you adore fire types as well?" Comet had decided if Jared did, indeed follow a legendary, it'd have to be Victini. Meaning he should like fire types as much as her, right? Upon Comet and Jared's arrival, Serperior cried with delight. This simplified things a ton! Now she wouldn't have to worry about herding the pokemon back to them. Serperior slithered back to Comet, awaiting directions. "Excellent work, Serperior! You found exactly what I wanted!" Comet exclaimed, patting the pokemon's head. The Serperior grinned in response. "But... I don't think I can catch both, right now..." The capture of two pokemon at the same time wasn't exactly easy. Plus, catching two similar pokemon was silly as well. "Uh... Which one should I catch?" Comet asked herself aloud in a quiet, almost desperate sounding voice.
  20. "Oh come on, guys." Oddish said, with clearly no worry in her voice. "The L.S.R.T. will take care of it! No need to get all panicked!" The grass type then bounded after Growlithe and Froakie, leaving Cottonee, Vulpix, and Nuzleaf to fend for themselves. Upon arrival to the rock slide site, four pokemon could be seen. A Dedenne, Froslass, Togekiss, and Heliolisk. The Heliolisk was very vocal, and could be seen holding something. He didn't seem to notice the three approach, as he was much too invested in himself. Froslass did notice, however, and prodded at the Togekiss to inform her. Togekiss spun around to face the three pokemon. "Oh... Oddish!" Togekiss said, somewhat surprised. "But... Altaria isn't with you? That idiot. Uhm... What are you doing here? And who are these pokemon?" Oddish didn't seem to notice Togekiss' questions, for some reason. Her gaze was fixated on the Froslass. Bagon blushed again, and glanced away from the Vulpix. He didn't seem to hear Cottonee, but did notice that Oddish had left. He huffed, before looking back to the Vulpix. trying to look as "suave" as he did before. Which wasn't at all, but can't blame a guy for trying. "What? Haven't heard the story, then?" He said, with a chuckle. "There's a reason that old bird's with her. They say that, once upon a time, the two of them we-" Before Bagon could tell the story, a sudden glimmer of red light appeared in the centre of the table they were sitting at. It quickly disappeared, however. "Welp..." Bagon began. "Looks like we gots to go. See you two ladies. It'd be a shame to see ya' hurt." With that, Bagon, Poochyena, and Rattata walked off in a similar direction Oddish had gone.
  21. Aw come on. Detect's at level 9. Dammit Mienfoo. Why don't you learn that earlier.
  22. That's Stella's normal personality, actually. xD I have a thing with her where she's different for every region. Since this is a new region thingy, I went with the Unova/Kalos one. Ooh. That's a tough choice, actually. I'll take Mienfoo.
  23. @@Ampharos, I'll join if you're still accepting. I'll fill out the app now, just because that's a bit easier. x3
  24. "Take care, mis-" Before Bagon could finish his sentence, Vulpix brushed her tails against his nose, causing him to flush a bright shade of red. He panicked and quickly looked to the other two, to see how he should react. Or rather, how he should react in such a situation. Both had also panicked, and were looking away as well. "Uhmmm..." He began. Before he said anything worthwhile, however, Oddish had bounced up to the group. "Hai Bagon! Long time no see!" Oddish said, as she had appeared beside Vulpix. Bagon looked at the Oddish, who had interrupted him, like she was a saving grace, before shaking his head and turning his expression to a scowl. "Pah. Should'a known you'd be wit' dat one. It's unfitting for a lady, y'know miss. Bagon said, as the Rattata sneered. Bagon then acknowledged the Cottonee. "I'd suggest both ya leave before that one gets ya hurt. @@Ampharos, Togekiss didn't seem too worried about the Dedenne's panic, as her calm and poised stature was still evident. Froslass also seemed indifferent, and Heliolisk was still basking in his own glory. "Oh my," Togekiss spoke. "That certainly seems like a problem. It must have fallen under the rocks. No worries. We'll find your bag, I can assure you." Heliolisk had tuned back into the real world at this point. "Oh, a bag you say?!" He asked, enthusiastically. "Well, I have seen a bag! Do not fret, little one! Heliolisk is here to save the day! Heliolisk once again dug into the ground. A few rocks in the slide shook, and some fell, but the pokemon came back out with... a bag? Whatever it was, it was coated in dirt. "I believe this is your lost item? Well, here! The glorious Heliolisk has retrieved it for you!" Heliolisk spoke in a slightly more booming voice than before. A feat of which didn't seem possible unless you heard it for yourself. "I'm afraid it's a bit dirty at the moment, but I just so happen to rock the au natural look as well. If I can make it look good, surely a bag can do it too!" Togekiss looked at the Heliolisk with great distaste. ...Hadn't he just insulted himself?
  25. From the OP; "Once you have Eight Badges, you'll gain the opportunity to challenge the Elite Four. We don't have an elite four yet; As we recruit more Gym Leaders (We've already got two auditioning) we'll move people up to the Elite Four. The Elite Four functions much like a gym. You'll earn special pokemon badges as you challenge, and each E4 member will have a designated type. Elite Four Battles are Six on Six, and the same rules apply, only you have to use the same team for the entire challenge." I believe gym badges that have become the E4 will still be acceptable, but you might have to ask Dez that.
