April Showers

She was born in Canterlot to Sunshower and Bakers Dozen, a weather pony and a baker. Like her mother she found she had a very good awareness of what the weather would be, regardless of the visible signs and obtained her cutie mark by telling somepony it was going to rain soon despite there not being a cloud in the sky. Unfortunately for April there wasn't really any openings for weather ponies in Canterlot and she found herself feeling talentless and lost. To make things worse her parents were killed by a timberwolf attack on the city when she was only 15 leaving her lonely and depressed. She managed to take control of her father's restaurant but it was never very popular due to the snooty culture of the city. She did have one regular customer and she found herself falling in love with him, and desperately wanted him to take away her loneliness. Her coltfriend was not a nice pony however and it turned out he'd only come to her restaurant because he wanted to get with her, he never cared truly about her and abused her both physically and mentally leaving her depressed and lonely once more after she turned him out. Her luck finally changed however when a stallion called Fine Gourmet visited her restaurant and gave it a good review, boosting its popularity and allowing her to make a living to support herself better, including hiring more staff for her restaurant. She fell in love with Gourmet too as a result and the two of them shared brief intimate relations after he learned how hard her life had been, but Gourmet never seemed interested in a proper relationship with her and remained just a close friend. 

Since Gourmet changed her life around she married one of her waiters, Scooter, and had a daughter with him who she named Mint Chip. She still looks forwards to Gourmet's rare visits whenever he returns to his hometown.

April is an energetic pony who often appears more optimistic than she feels, she has a tendency to lose her train of thought or to miss obvious details when she's excited. She's a very affectionate pony and loves spending time with other ponies, she hates being alone. She loves all things weather and wishes a little that she had found a career involving it. 

April Showers is a blue-green unicorn mare with blonde hair that she ties with purple bows. She has big blue eyes and is usually smiling. 

Her cutie-mark is a raincloud and represents her true talent.
