Fine Gourmet

He was born in Canterlot to a couple of posh food critics, French Gourmet and Fancy Gourmet, who raised him to be prim and proper. Despite his upbringing he wanted to be a different type of food critic, the more optimistic and positive type. He gained his cutie mark after giving his first glowing review to a restaurant he'd visited often while growing up, one that his parents weren't as impressed by. When he was old enough he left home and moved to Manehattan to get a more "rugged" lifestyle with less pretentious ponies and restaurants surrounding him and started up a successful career in food critiquing. He also chose to live in a smaller apartment despite being quite well off. He enjoys walking around the city and it was on one of these strolls that he met his girlfriend Victoria, she had been lost in thought and didn't see him, bumping into him and knocking him to the floor. He offered to help her buy her gifts to show he wasn't upset by her clumsiness and then walked her home where he was offered to try her baking. After meeting multiple times at the bakery where she worked for a couple of weeks she invited him to her family gathering since he helped buy all the gifts and here the two bonded quite strongly and confessed their love for one another. The two still live apart but plan to buy a bigger apartment together. Gourmet was offered to live with Victoria and Battenberg in their mother's cottage but Gourmet prefers smaller spaces and Victoria herself would prepare to live with him. After getting married they eventually got an apartment together. 

Gourmet is a very jolly pony, always smiling and almost always positive. He has thrown off the more posh and pretentious life of his parents and other critics and likes to give glowing reviews to under appreciated establishments. He is a very soft and sensitive pony and loves to talk about his hobbies to anyone who will listen. He is quite protective of Victoria as he sees her as young and vulnerable due to her past and dedicates a lot of his time to making her feel safe and secure.

Fine Gourmet is a large stallion with deep black fur and short brushed back grey hair. He has white hooves and a white stripe down his nose and big green eyes. He usually wears a turtleneck jumper under a dark blue dinner jacket.

His cutiemark is a plate of gourmet food and represents his excellent eye for good food.
