Aria wasn’t always a vampire, there was a time where she was just a simple deer with a knack for healing. She was a nurse at the beginning. She was kind to everyone, even the ones that were being mean. One day while she was cleaning a room after a patient left, she heard a noise that sounded like it was between a groan or a growl. She turned around to see nothing but the beds. One at the very end of the room was hidden. She walked towards the covered bed and said, “Excuse me, I didn’t know that anyone was here. Do you need anything?”
It happened so fast, there was a blur from behind the curtains and she was on the floor with a pain in the side of the neck with her vision being blocked by a dark figure, then she felt nothing after that.
After a couple hours, she woke up with a splitting headache and a bizarre craving for blood. She got up on her wobbly legs. She walked past the bathroom with it’s door wide open and let out a squeal as she stumbled back, Her cap that was hanging on her ear was floating, even though she could feel it’s weight on her ear. She got up and bolted out the door and guess that she was frightened badly, since she could hear her heartbeat pounding inside her ears. As she ran out of the hospital, she could feel a cold presence on her skin and eyes watching her every movement.
She didn’t stop at her house, she kept on running, until she got lost in the woods near her house. The pounding in her ears dimmed to a dull thumping. She started to calm herself down, but the thumping wouldn’t quiet down. Then a voice said from the darkness, “You poor thing, not knowing what you are.”
She jumped up and looked around to focus on a pair of red eyes cutting through the darkness of the woods. She said as she started to back up, “Who are you and what do you mean?”
The creature bowed and said, “My name isn’t important. Haven’t you been hearing the pounding of heartbeats and been wanting blood? I’m sure you saw that you don’t have a reflection.” She thought about it and nodded, then the creature added, “I’m going to take you under my wing, you poor thing, but we need you to disappear.”
After erasing records of her existent from the database. They took off into the woods, until they came across an old bunker house. The creature invited her in and began her training.
After decades of training, Her master lead her to an enclosed area full of animals. Her jaw dropped open with how many creatures there were without being found. Her master said, “You are ready to have a pet, but choose wisely, it will be for life.”
She looked at all the creatures as they ran around the area. She bit her lip from being nervous. She had to be careful with which one she chooses, then she felt something brush against her leg. She looked down to see a small dragon. It looked up and let out a high roar, that sounded more like a wheeze. She let out a small giggle, which was cut short when it started to climb on top of her. She could feel it’s little claws on her back, then it’s head on her shoulder. Her master said as he walked up to her, “It seems like she has taken a liking to you, it’s strange for her. Do you accept her?”
Aria looked at her master and nodded. He smiled and led her out of the area and back to the cabin. She laid against the wall and looked at her pet. It was a light blue color with lifeless grey eyes and electric blue fur at the end of the tail. She smiled and rubbed it’s head as her master walked out the door.
She spent a year waiting for her master to come home, on the anniversary, she picked up Foris and walked out the door as putting her on her back.
She walked to a town that was a bit further away and applied for the small hospital there. The doctor looked at the paper she turned in and gave her the job. Right after that, she was asked if she’ll be able to help with a bleeding patient. She quickly shook her head and headed into the bathroom to calm down, that was when she felt a tapping on her leg. She looked up to see Foris gnawing on her leg, making some blood ran down her leg. Aria nodded in thanks and drank a little to quiet the thirst. She got up and started to get back to work. That night, she slipped into the blood fridge and took a few packs, so that she wouldn’t resort to drinking from a living creature.
