Yoyo

Starshine
  • , No, Not Cast young mare

A mare of moderate stature, Yoyo's coat is pale magenta and her mane is cyan with lighter stripes. On occasions she could be seen wearing a ribbon on the tip of her mane.

female Unicorn A brown gear with a diode symbol in it. It represents her talent in manatronics (electronics using stored magic as an energy supply) and making small contraptions. https://buffy.mlpforums.com/47c228af24faafe4148796940637de01.png

Yoyo is a very talkative and outgoing mare when she is around those who are she comfortable with, be it her family or her close friends. She likes to trade ideas and do pretty much anything with them, as long as they're happy too. Outside her small social circle, Yoyo have a hard time opening up with strangers. She often fear that she had inadvertently gave the new pony a terrible first impression, and sometimes end up giving the stranger an awkward stare coupled with an uneasy smile.

Yoyo abhors the ponies who would lie to others for their own gain. She can understand that sometimes ponies would be very hesitant to tell the truth, and will not push the issue any further, but she can't tolerate it if they told her outright lies instead of admitting that they can't tell her the secrets. If entrusted with a secret, she would keep it with her own life and she will help as best as she could to solve the issue.

She likes completing puzzles and assembling small things into bigger, better things. She will go at great length to 'improve' any gadgets that might interest her. She finds it extremely satisfying to see something starts moving after so long being left alone and broken.

Yoyo often finds it's hard to pay attention on subjects that she find boring or overwinded too much behind the normal limit. She tries to compensate it with taking notes and perking her ears up when somepony is talking to her.

Yoyo was born to a unicorn family in Manehattan. She have two older sisters, a younger sister, and a younger brother, who was the youngest in the family of six. Her father and mother worked as a toymaker in their own workshop at the north of Manehattan, supplying various toys and novelty products to stores around the city. Yoyo spent most of her childhood playing and learning together with her many siblings. She was reluctant to socialize with others outside her immediate family.

When she graduated from high school, a monetary disaster hit her family. Her father was forced to left all of his daughters and son to his sisters' care while he would work day and night to dig his way out of the crippling debts. Yoyo took it the worst. Left alone without her brother, sisters, and parents, for weeks she refused to do anything but to lock herself in her new room in her aunt's home. After her self-imposed seclusion, she found solace in manatronics and toymaking. With her aunt's support, she took a major in Manatronics Engineering in Manehattan University.

After four years of study, Yoyo graduated with a remarkable grade. During the time she had grown close to her aunt and managed to earn herself a few close friends from the university. Now she works in her own toy workshop, promising to herself that she will earn enough bits to pay off her father's debt.

    Magical capabilities:

    1. Standard telekinesis. Nothing worthy of mention other than she had accustomed of carrying dozens of tiny parts at the same time.
    2. Localized pyromancy. A spell she learned by herself during her study in the university, Yoyo can heat up a small section of whatever solid objects she is holding in her telekinesis, up to 450° C, enough to melt filler metals often used in soldering manatronic parts.
    3. Composition Analysis. A spell taught to her by a metallurgy professor in Manehattan University. It allows her to roughly guess the metal composition of a solid material.
