'Moony' Moon Shimmer

Personality: Moon Shimmer is a real go-getter with a can-do attitude and some serious wanderlust. She is friendly upon meeting new ponies and bonds with other ponies over pokemon techniques (whether it be in training or breeding) as well as food and outdoor activities; her favourite being track running and racing. Moony also enjoys swimming which works well with her nature of being athletic. She enjoyed trying new things, as well.

Backstory: Moony was the oldest pony in her class to not have a pokemon. Her reckless behaviour and overall flightiness had caused her parents to second guess her ability to raise and care for a pokemon of her own. No matter how much she begged and pleaded with her parents they would not allow her to have a pokemon. While everypony else in her grade were hatching their eggs or receiving their partners as baby pokemon, Moony was sitting in the back of her class day dreaming about her future partner.<br />Even though she couldn't have one now, one day it would be inevitable, and her parents knew that. So, when she was twelve, she was presented with her very own pokemon egg. How exciting it was for her to have this egg! When would it hatch? What pokemon would it be? Would it be strong? So many questions ran through her mind but were haulted at her father's words.<br />"This egg, Moony, is brand new to the world and is not set to hatch for some time now. You will learn patience as you care for this egg, so be careful! For if you do not raise it well and care for it as you've learned in school, you will not be getting another one."<br />Heavy stuff... but it was heavy enough to stick to her brain and from that day on you could not see Moony without her pokemon egg.<br /><br />The day finally came that her pokemon was set to hatch! (According to her father). She had walked it, warmed it, cleaned it, and even gave it plenty of sunshine and fresh air and now her efforts were about to be rewarded. She couldn't stop moving; having been very calm and relaxed the past few days, she was full of energy.<br />The egg was shaking and a soft tapping could be heard from inside. Tap tap tap! Moony stared, her hooves clacking on the hardwood of her bedroom floor impatiently. As the baby pokemon began to use its strength for the first time, the egg began to crack. They were small little cracks at first, but as the pokemon pushed and pushed they grew deeper and eventually the pokemon broke free!<br /><br />It was an adorable little eevee!<br /><br />Moony was shocked! Such a fluffy little adorable pokemon... it was not at all like she imagined she would be getting. However, she wasn't disappointed... she was simply surprised.<br />After welcoming her little companion into the world, she was rip roaring to introduce it to her fellow peers and be accepted again into their group. Despite that, there was something in her mind that told her to slow down. The other students' pokemon were stronger than hers... what if they wanted to battle? She needed to train first, but even before that she would need to give her eevee time to adjust to the wide world around him and, you know, give him a name.<br /><br />"I'll call you... Bosco"<br /><br />Ever since that day, Moon Shimmer and her eevee Bosco were inseparable.
