Cutie Mark: His cutie mark's an atom. Besides the obvious name joke, it represents Addem's love of science, especially his attempts to find out how the world works.

Personality: Addem's not too good socially, either withdrawing or being too forward. He's had a hard time trusting; however, if you can gain his trust, he's a warm, caring pony. Just don't bring up magical theory, or you won't get a word in edgewise.

Backstory: Addem grew up in Ponyville. His father was an employee in a small shop that eventually became Quills and Sofas. Being an intelligent earth pony that dreamed of being a mage, he got his fair share of bullying. That, coupled with the death of his mother to a genetic condition, finally made him snap. He established a laboratory under Ponyville, secluding himself from society as much as possible. Eventually, he found a way to absorb residual magic, as well as change other forms of energy into magical energy. He's now employed as a magical engineer in a Canterlot workshop.
