Cutie Mark: A vine in the shape of a spiral. Amani is quite good at gardening...more specifically, growing herbs.

Personality: Talkative. Bubbly. Very nice. He never gets angry. He can sometimes be pretty cocky.

Backstory: He was born in a small zebra tribe that was just outside of Equestria. The small tribe was very peaceful and had no way to defend themselves from the neighboring tribes...of course when Amani was two their tribe was attacked. Amani escaped with his mother but his father died in the battle. Eventually they made it into Equestria where...after days of running and hiding, Amani's mother collapsed. In the middle of the road outside of Ponyville.<br /><br />Both she and Amani were nursed back to health by a kind couple who owned an inn.<br /><br />After staying there for a month Amani's mother was offered a job...which she cheerfully accepted.<br /><br />Amani grew up always running off and getting into trouble...one of the many things he would do was visit the mare in the forest. No pony ever believed him but he visited her every day. She taught him almost everything she knew about growing herbs and gardening.<br /><br />Amani loved it, being able to so easily grow things from the ground. After some time he started his own garden...at around eight. He got his cutie mark the day he helped a young mare fix a small mishap with poison joke.<br /><br />He was thrilled and celebrated by visiting the green mare in the forest. She was quite happy for him as well and as a gift she gave him an ancient flower thought to have died long ago.<br /><br />They were grown with fire...rather than pouring water you like the peddles of the flower on fire every week and it will last for a lifetime<br /><br />Amani thought it was the best gift in the world and he has that same flower to this very day.<br /><br />When he turned twenty he decided he wanted to explore Equestria and discover its mysteries.<br /><br />He set out and sold herbs on the road as he went.<br /><br /><br />It was about a decade later when he returned to Ponyville.<br />He visited the green mare and her garden...only to find that it was almost exactly how he had left. The Garden had grown but the mare was the exact same age.<br /><br />He questioned her and she told him that she was a dryad...she was the one who told the inn keepers that him and his mother needed help and she was the one who told the bullies to stop being so mean.<br /><br />Amani and ArrowLeaf are still often sending letters to each other.<br /><br /><br />When Amani was thirty three he moved to Canterlot where he hoped to open a small herb store.<br /><br /><br />There was one customer who came in every day to buy herbs for her restaurant and Amani always found himself attracted to her...she was a pegasus from Prance...her name was Night Lily.<br /><br /><br />A year later they were married. Amani closed his shop and Night Lily sold her restaurant so they could live away from the busy city. They got a small farm a three hour walk from Dodge.<br /><br />They started growing herbs and sold them in the nearby town.<br /><br /><br />Just a few more years later they discovered Night was pregnant. She gave birth to their beautiful daughter Star in the middle of a large storm. A tornado had ripped up the nearby land but had luckily missed Night and Amani's home.<br /><br /><br />It was a year later when the little pegasus zebra was running around outside searching for frogs.<br /><br /><br />But time passed and now Star is living in Ponyville...leaving Amani and Night at their happy little farm in the fields.
