Cutie Mark: A Winged halo. It represents his ability to see good and light where most only see bad and darkness.

Personality: Angel Blaze is a quiet and soft-spoken pony. He spends much of his free time either practicing flying tricks or hanging out with his younger sister. He is more of an 'artistic' flyer. Kind of a daredevil but not to such a dangerous extent.<br />While he does prefer to be alone, Angel Blaze does enjoy attention and approval from his fellow ponies.<br />His parents never had any real faith in his flying abilities and were constantly pressuring him to join their business in the crafting of jewelry. Because of their lack of faith, Angel Blaze sought attention from other ponies who would watch him fly.<br />Angel Blaze's dream is to join Princess Luna's flight team, the Shadowbolts, because he thinks he can help remove the stigma of being associated with Nightmare Moon.

Backstory: Angel Blaze grew up in Baltimare, the first born of Silver Lining (father) and Fire Opal (mother)<br />His parents were well-respected business ponies who own a fine jewelry shop, so they are quite wealthy.<br />Both of them hoped their son would join the business as well, but to no avail. Seeing their son was far more interested in flying than making necklaces or rings, they began to ignore him.<br />Angel Blaze learned about the Shadowbolts in his History class, and of their mysterious and shady ways.<br />Angel Blaze spent weeks researching the Shadowbolts and when he discovered their association with Princess Luna, he decided that would be his life goal: to join the Shadowbolts.<br /><br />His parents tried to send Angel Blaze to a private school and force him to study jewelry making, but that didn't work. Angel Blaze was still flying rather than crafting.<br /><br />Angel Blaze tried to make his parents proud of him, but he never got much more than a forced smile or a fake nod. He fell into depression.<br /><br />That is, until his sister Corona was born.<br />She became his best friend, and helped lift his spirits when he felt particularly down about his flying.<br /><br />When he turned 18 and Corona was 14, she moved out of Baltimare with Angel Blaze to Ponyville, where Angel Blaze continues to train and practice tricks.<br /><br />Neither he nor Corona have any intentions of returning to Baltimare.<br /><br />Angel Blaze currently works at a coffee shop in Ponyville, and continues to practice until he thinks he's ready to join the Shadowbolts.
