Cutie Mark: Swirling green smoke coming from a cauldron, referring to her ability to cast spells and make potions, Astral herself thinks it refers to her talent for dark magic.

Personality: Social reclusive, but can be rather friendly once you get to know her. Hates it when her dead mother is brought up, whether not it was her who did.

Backstory: She always wanted to perform magic, but there was one problem, she wasn't a unicorn. over the years she practiced magic tricks instead of real magic, eventually she found a book that explained how a non-unicorn could use magic.<br /><br />She used this form of magic to entertain ponies, she performed magic spells at her school and after the performance she found herself hiding from the public when she found out that kind of magic is banned in Equestria, and any ponies who practice it are sent out of Equestria.<br /><br />And because of this, she went into the Everfree forest for years, hearing of her mother being near death, coming back to Ponyville secretly in order to be there. Astral was given a crystal pendant by her mother just before she died.<br /><br />Since she knew magic Astral tried to resurrect her mother, earning her cutie mark in the process. About to attempt the resurrection again, a zebra named Misty had interrupted the resurrection, Astral getting injured and having to kill a literal monster she had created. After doing so Misty explained why she was there and that her tribe was destroyed, Astral deciding to look after her, For years after she had protected Misty from anything that could harm her, and herself from dark magic.
