Cutie Mark: Azrael's Cutie mark is a stylized skull. He claims it's due to his family holding a long tradition as grave keepers. Others say its because he is a brutal murderer. Some say both. However the true meaning behind it is far from this.

Personality: Azrael is a strange pony, he hails from a faraway land, even more so than the Zebra's. His accent is odd and his mannerisms more so. He often refuses to talk to a pony he considers 'beneath' him, which only encompasses earth ponies, Pegasi and even certain unicorns. That said he is ferociously loyal to his superiors but will not turn up a chance to seize power. In combat Azrael avoids direct hand to hand fighting, preferring to assault the enemy from the shadows, that said Azrael can still hold his own in battle. As previously stated Azrael despises all ponies bar the unicorn, however this does not mean he is rude to those he does talk to, which is rare. Azrael has a poor grasp of traditional Equestrian language so he prefers to use gestures to get his point across.The land of which he hails from has forever been a focus of mystery, the markings on his body are not in fact natural Zebra markings, instead they are tattoo's added to allow him to integrate into their society better...many believe his homeland to be the ancient land from which all ponies hailed from...but he has never confirmed this. Finally Azrael lives by a strict code of ethics which he will defend to the last, chief amongst these is the philosophy that all actions taken must be justified.

Backstory: Azrael was born in a distant land, the name of this land and the name of his people has been long forgotten by Equestrian historians... probably for the better. Azrael has only recently come across Equestria having spent much of his life in the Zebra home land, but after being banished for practising necromancy he was forced to continue wandering. Azrael and necromancy have a long and sorted history, apparently according to Azrael necromancy was commonplace amongst his people in fact those that mastered this art were considered the leaders of their people, referred to as "Great Worm Lords". Azrael has spent much of his life perfecting the art of Necromancy, which encompasses much more then raising the dead. Due to his 'special talent' being necromancy what few spells Azrael has all seem to revolve around the summoning of the dead. But never ponies. Ever.
