Appearance: Pale grayish-teal fur, black mane. Her eyes are red. Wears her old traffic police cap.
Cutie Mark: A crossed paintbrush, hammer, and scythe.
Personality: Baton Bleu is a case of a pony who got way too big for her britches. She's probably the most self-centred pony there is. She believes herself to be the most talented, beautiful, elegant, intelligent, and entitled pony in the world, and anyone who dares to disrespect her is clearly just jealous.

She has no concept of humility, and thinks that the whole world owes her something. She knows better than anypony else, and woe befall those who don't know it. Her insufferable arrogance has been the cause of her problems for her entire life, and yet she fails to notice this, blaming everything on others. She also has a horrible temper and is prone to tantrums.

Baton Bleu is only out for herself, and she's not above stepping on others to achieve her goals. In fact, she loves watching other "lesser" ponies suffer, and sees everypony as lower than her, just tools for her own needs. Everypony except for Red October, with whom she is somewhat smitten for taking her in when she was cast out. And even then, she sees him as future property. Once he conquers Equestria, she'll conquer him, and rule as queen with her "prize pony".

Her magic mainly specialises in telekinesis, as a wielder of her baton, which she can use as adeptly as a master swordspony to deal a nasty clubbing. She's not above using her beauty to bewitch ponies into giving her what she wants. However, her vanity is her weakness, and she often stays out of harm's way so as to not mess up her mane.
Backstory: She was born and raised in Canterlot to a powerful and prestigious family of social elites. Her father used his connections to get her a prime job as a traffic girl in one of Canterlot's most upscale neighbourhoods.

Baton's job was to direct traffic in the main intersection of the trendiest and busiest shopping districts, a coveted position among traffic girls. And she LOVED her job, perhaps a little too much. She took a great zeal in controlling these "lesser ponies", and saw herself as a sort of queen. "These poor fools would all crash into each other without me! What blind little sheep!"

She quickly gained a reputation for cruelty and abuse of power, frequently yelling at anyone who she thought stepped out of line. Her baton, ostensibly only for signalling, was more often misused as a weapon. She WAS good at it, and kept the intersection running like clockwork, but at the cost of many complaints and the shopping district becoming a ghost town.

The police department were already ready to fire her when the ultimate offence happened: she yelled at the wrong pony, one Princess Celestia, whom Baton was convinced was jaywalking. Stripped of her uniform, her hat, and her baton, she was unceremoniously kicked out.

Feeling betrayed and wanting revenge, she was prime bait for Red October, who could use her knowledge of Canterlot's streets. He presented her with her old hat and baton as a gift, and she was officially on the team.
