Appearance: Bellrock is a gargoyle. He looks like a hideous fusion between a demon and a dragon, with two long, prong-like horns, sticking out if his head, a pair of massive wings, two rows of razor sharp teeth, and soul-piercing, yellow eyes. He's usually in a crouching or hunched position, but at full height, he stands at no less that 8'0ft tall.

His wings are massive as well, measuring at 10ft from tip to tip. However, he usually keeps his wings pulled tightly against his body, to avoid attracting any unwanted attention. He only has five, razor-sharp claws for fingers, and three, bird-like taloned feet. He also has a tail as well, mainly used to assist in climbing and, occasionally, as a deadly spear.

He has a lean build, but he's not overly big or muscular, like some gargoyles.
Cutie Mark: None. However, he once tried to carve his own cutie mark into his side, once before. It was a picture of a cracked, stone bell. It's mostly faded, but still visible.
Personality: Though he might look evil, vicious, or intimidating, Bellrock is actually quite gentle and kind, seeing all life as a work of art, one that is meant to be cherished and kept safe. For this reason, and a few others, he protects all innocents, be they pony or insect, from anyone who wishes to do harm to them. He dislikes harming living creatures, but he won't hesitate to incapacitate anyone who he sees assulting an innocent, or putting someone in danger.
Backstory: Bellrock's life began around 200 years ago, when he was bought to life by a powerful unicorn, named Starswirl the Bearded, to protect his tower from intruders, and those who might wish to steal his secrets. When given life, Bellrock had no name, nor did he have any emotions. He was as ignorant and curious as. Newborn foal. Upon realizing this, Starswirl decided to teach the newborn creature how to speak, read, write, and other important subjects, such as math, history, and science. But there was one thing that Starswirl couldn't teach him, no matter how hard he tried, the most important thing any living creature should know...friendship.

That all changed, though, when Starswirl took a young female unicorn, named Spring Bloom, under his wing. The gargoyle had never seen Starswirl take an apprentice before, so he assumed that the young mare must be especially gifted with magical talent. This was true, but it wasn't the only reason that Starswirl took her in. The other reason he accepted her as a student, was because young Spring Bloom had a gift for making friends, even with the most stubborn of ponies. But, of course, Bellrock was unaware of this.

Bloom spent half her time studying and training under Starswirl, and the other half spending time with Bellrock. At first, Bellrock kept his distance from her, or acted formal to her when they spoke. However, the more time she spent with him, the more he liked her, and felt more comfortable with her.

(More later)
