Appearance: He is a red alicorn, with bright orange hair, most ponies say his mane reminds them of fire.

Cutie Mark: His cuitie mark is a fiery phoenix. It means that he is exceptionally proficient with fire magic. When flying through the sky many onlookers tend to mistake him for an actual phoenix.

Personality: He is, well, hotheaded. He has a short fuse and tends to blow up at the smallest of mistakes. When he does care for someone though, he has quite a different personality. He wants to protect all he cares about, and is very generous to them, giving them gifts and tolerating their shenanigans. He tends to get himself in a lot of fights because of his personality, and ends up more often in trouble than not.

Backstory: Blaze's father's name is Pyro Pheonixtear. He was the leader of the pirate gang "Pheonix Kings" but died when Blaze was just a foal. His last name became infamous because of his father, now many ponies tend to shun Blaze, they fear that he is the second coming of his father. Pyro taught Blaze most of the fire magic Blaze knows today. After school Blaze applied to Alicorn college in the hopes of living up to his father's expectations. Blaze graduated College with a major in Magic. When the wielders of harmony were marenapped Celestia called on Blaze personally to help in the search for the six missing wielders.
