• Blossom (Stella)

    Glitter Glue

    • Age: 12

      Gender: Female

      Species: Earth Pony

Appearance: A short and somewhat chubby purple earth pony, with short light purple main and tail. Her eyes are bright yellow and "shine like a thousand starts", as she likes to describe them.

Cutie Mark: It's a pink petal, symbolizing the way Blossom can "flow with the wind" like a petal - meaning no matter which way life tosses her, she can remain graceful and calm.
But deeming this as a dumb cutie mark and an even dumber talent, and sticks a self-drawn cutie mark above it, stating that it shows that she could control the stars of the night sky before her powers were taken from her.

Personality: Blossom, while she is a bright and happy filly, is not as energetic as other little ponies her age. She likes to act a lot more mature, and doesn't participate in their "childish games" - instead she plays her own game that she claims to be reality: she says that she used to be an alicorn called Stella ruling beside Luna and Celestia, but the sisters feared she would eventually take over completely, and become the sole ruler, so they erased her from everypony's memories and turned her into a little earth pony filly, banishing her to Ponyville.
She takes her game quite seriously, and will get offended if one doesn't believe her. She avoids young fillies and colts, and prefers talking to adults, saying that she is way older than she looks. Despite her silly belief, she is actually often more mature than other ponies her age.
Her hobbies include reading, drawing, dancing, stargazing, practicing forbidden occult spells (even if she can't cast them without a horn), and browsing through the library to find any trace of her supposed reign.
She likes acting mysterious, but it doesn't work very well for her, since she is quite the extroverted pony. She also enjoys exploring the Everfree Forest occasionally, even though she is scared of the place like any other pony.

Backstory: Blossom was the only child of her middle-class family. She was born in Ponyville and lived all of her life so far there. Her mother was the librarian of the town before Twilight Sparkle arrived, and her father was a teacher at the Ponyville school before he started teaching in Canterlot instead.
His dad taught her how to read before she had started school, and she would spend her days reading books that may or may not have been intended for little fillies instead of playing outside. She grew quite fond of the mystery genre as well as books on Equestrian history.
When she went to school, it became obvious that she wasn't quite good at making friends with others. Her parents signed her up for dance class, hoping that their daughter would get to know some other fillies there. She did not, but she realized she was quite a good dancer. While her parents were worried sick about their daughter, she enjoyed her simple life. She buried herself in books, had fun at dance classes and started drawing as well, influenced by her only actual friend: her art teacher.
When she went to second grade of school, some teachers got a better job at Canterlot, including her dad and her art teacher. Both left for the big city, leaving Blossom alone with her mother. They moved out of the library, since it reminded them of the lack of Blossom's dad. "This place is too big for just two ponies" her mom would always say. The library was left unattended before Twilight Sparkle would arrive.
The two ponies lived a good life together, her mother opened a bookstore on the first floor of a smaller house they bought, and Blossom continued to live her life as normal.
Her mother grew sickly and weak as she now had to worry about both her husband living in a faraway city and her daughter still having no friends - and now no dad either.
Seeing her mother's state, and loneliness finally catching up with her, Blossom had to find a way to stay bright and happy as usually. So she unconsciously made up the story of Stella, and started asking ponies to address her as such. She grew interested in the occult as well, saying that she won't follow the rules of the very ponies who banished her.
While at first Blossom's behavior just made things worse for her mother, she slowly accepted her daughter the way she was. She seemed happy, and her mother was fine with that. She would eventually grow out of it, right?
