Backstory: Brill grew up in Dodge Junction after her parents abandoned her, wanting a pegasus philly to live in Cloudsdale with them. She was well cared for by Cherry Jubilee, who nonetheless kept her constantly busy with shop work. Brill soon grew annoyed with the inconvenience and inefficiency of sorting cherries by hand, so she designed the contraption we see in "The Last Roundup." After this invention, Brill's cutie mark appeared, and she knew what she was meant to do with her life. After she moved to Canterlot, Luna requisitioned Brill to design a space-carriage that could carry ponies to other worlds.
