• Caiesm

    Aerodynas

    • Age: 25

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: Caiesm is characterized as a completely noir unicorn (mane and pelt) with a strip of white fur upon the bridge of his muzzle to his forehead. He stands barely taller than a common stallion with a healthily active body tone and boldly silver eyes.

Cutie Mark: Ancient Circular Hieroglyph: represents his passion for retrieving and discovering ancient relics.

Personality: Caiesm's firm sense of duty and quick wit best gives him the personality of the classic general or of any typical pony who would be characterized for a leadership role. Hardened and sometimes seemingly emotionless as he may be from living the life he does, Caiesm deeply cares for those who grow close to him. He has a deep passion for music, in fact being able to play any violin or viola styled instrument of which he does to take his mind away.
In the end, however, he does his best to seem and remain utilitarianistic and almost inpony...

Backstory: Caiesm's life was established in one of the most unfortunate of cases: not knowing his parents (if there were any) and for the most part living as a peddler and sometimes, thief to survive. It made him hard and appear to lack attachment to morality. This wasn't just for himself however, in his life, coming across a younger mare and her sister in the same situation as he. The stallion tried teaching them everything he knew of how to survive the streets and trick those within for such purpose. Everything he earned, he split evenly with them. No matter how stern or even emotionless he seemed, surely Caiesm knew compassion in his heart but feared to show it for the safety of not only himself, but those it beat for. It wasn't until he and a few other shady types had heard of the appearance of an Oracle in an ancient, sacred city that Caiesm actually left his home city. In a roguish attempt to end the need to steal and ensure honest livelihood for him...and the two sisters...the quick handed stallion joined with the other bandits in hopes of huge payout. They would rob the city temples. Surely they had all arrays of jewels and artifacts that would be worth fortunes to the right buyer. Even just four ounces of gold would be enough to get him and his friends on their hooves.
Upon reaching the city and expertly following the plan, the thieviously intent party successfully reached the greater hall of the core temple...to their dismay, finding only capture awaiting them as a subordinated rat out the scheme previous to their deployment. Removal of the right forehoof was the proper punishment for such a crime...however, the blade did not fall on Caiesm's black hoof. Amid the screams of agony and anguish of his comrades that were effectively removed from the chamber and the shivering sweat that dripped from his brow, the criminally inclined pony had been spared...but why?
Leaving him alone in the enormous room but still shackled and magically voided, the guards left with the already passed out thieves who carried only three hooves each...After a brief moment of silence, a figure stepped forward and revealed a mighty statue through the lighting of candles about it's sides and base. It was the Oracle. According to the strange creature, he was spared by the goddess of the statue who now wished for his help in a most pressing matter. The Oracle claimed she promised parlay of his tresspasses and hope of a new beginning in the light...unless he so desired to lose his hoof and be imprisoned for a greater remainder of his life. It was an obvious answer, one well accepted as the Oracle then unshackled him. Caiesm had never loved his hoof more than he did then...
As duely required, the once poor and immoral stallion, was reinstated as a hunter of missing artifacts and pieces pertaining to the goddess and her vague story. Caiesm of course didn't believe the stuff anymore than the Oracle apparently did, but a new life with all four hooves intact was indeed a blessing from some act of divinity. Thusly, Caiesm exhibited his responsibility, sending his first actual payment of honest worth to the two sister back in his home city. With this, however, he requested their forgiveness in his acts, but even more so in his decision to break all ties...It broke him dearly on the inside to do so, but now, they could truly be safe...and live the way they deserved. Caiesm prayed that they would forget him, and as the years passed, he assessed with comfort that they understood and honored his wish.
Caiesm was a new pony, given new purpose and direction: a new life.
