• Carys Rhyfelgri

    Mephala

    • Age: ~22

      Gender: Female

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: Carys takes great pride in how she looks. She prefers to have her mane tied up in a braided style to keep it out of her face, and wears a red bow. She often wears fashionable clothing and jewelry as well. Considered the beauty of her famed household, material objects and an alluring appearance are very important to her.
However, Carys seems to change her appearance quite often, altering it in many ways.

Cutie Mark: Carys does not have a cutie mark, unlike the rest of her family, which is strange given her age.

Personality: Carys is cold, unforgiving, and generally a nasty pony. She takes extreme pride in her family name, to the point of obsession, and hates her older brother and sister for not caring as much as she does. In fact, she sold them out once when the sullied the family name, and refuses to speak of them any longer.
She is an excellent actor and uses allure and trickery to achieve her ends. She has a very strong effect on mainly the male population.
She takes a great pleasure in ruining others’ lives, whether it be for business or entertainment. Either way, she's good at it, and never tires of the game.
What Carys feels in unclear, as she never speaks of her feelings or shows any emotions that she doesn't want to. She is very controlled.

Backstory: Carys was the middle child in the Rhyfelgri line, but differs greatly from how her brother and sister look. Though rumours spread about her parentage as she grew up, they were eventually forgotten as she proved many times that she was a capable member of the family, displaying talent in all the fields she chose. She was the clear favourite of her parents, even above Braw, an ambitious knight, and at the tender age of eight was already approached by suitors three times her age. Whether it was for her money or her great beauty, it was never known, but her family turned down all offers for her hand, despite that she had many different courters. They seemed interested in the Marwolaeth's son, but he had been promised to a Chwant girl. When the two dishonoured their families and went missing, the Rhyfelgri's withdrew their proposal all-together for unknown reasons.
Carys bloomed in court, finding it greatly to her liking-the drama, the secrets, the plots. In fact, she thrived in it, and rose to the top easily. She used her charms to attract male and females alike, and once coaxing their secrets out of them passed them along to the military of her nation and her family. Soon their government was the most powerful in the land. The odd thing was that none remembered spilling their secrets to Carys in particular, but perhaps to their wives or husbands or someone that they trusted. Nonetheless, she always came out on top.
When a murder plot emerged to get rid of Carys from a rivaling nation, she was kidnapped and a ransom was sent. Though her homeland flew into a frenzy to find their beloved leader's daughter, she returned unscathed several days later, having somehow lured all her guards to their deaths. She was never threatened again.
When Carys caught wind that her brother had assisted her sickly younger sister Cain escape, she was the one who apprehended them and gave the order to never let Cain out of sight. She claimed that her sister had used her "weird power" on her brother to force him to help her, letting him off with a mere warning. In truth, Carys knew that was a lie, but she could not allow her brother, captain of the military, to be forced out for reasons of politics.
Carys has little magic ability that she has displayed; while it is there, she doesn't feel the need to use it unless for show. She prefers to rely upon her appearance and uses magic as a last resort. However, it is rumoured that she is most proficient at using magic involving poisons, which may explain the deaths of some of her lovers.
