Appearance: Celes is shorter than most ponies her age: by her physical appearance, one could assume she's no older than 16 years. She often wears a headband in order to keep her mane tidy. Eye bags are constantly present since she barely has any sleep.<br />---

Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is of an orb of fire surrounding what seems to be a skull. Despite the eerie aspect of this cutie mark, its connections to the young mare are unknown and are believed to be none, other than her affinity for fire-based magic spells, of course.<br />---

Personality: Celes is a quiet, yet curious character. She normally isn’t the one to start a conversation and prefers to only speak when addressed. However, albeit being reserved and not knowing how to convey her feelings properly, deep down she's still kind-hearted.<br /><br />Due to not having socialized enough during her early years, she is unfamiliar with the basic etiquette and does not know how to properly respond to compliments and other good manners, leading to a somewhat comical state of embarrassment. Her lack of social graces makes her unable to recognize her own awkwardness until someone else points it out. Despite this fact, she still tries to be as friendly as possible to new ponies, even when her approach is usually weird or even creepy in a way. She occasionally attempts to express positive feelings towards her companions, and enjoys seeing happiness in others.<br /><br />Celes suffers from insomnia, preventing her from resting properly and causing dark circles to often appear around her eyes. However, the lack of rest doesn’t seem to cause any serious complications to her every-day routine (aside from the evident tiredness in her appearance and voice): she’s got a fairly good memory, and is also quite a fast learner.<br /><br />She mainly shows passion towards fire in general. Her hobby is to ignite pieces of wood, dry leaves or basically any inflammable, disposable object with her magic and watch it burn, mesmerized by the movement of the flames. Though seen as a dangerous - not to mention weird - form of entertainment, she says it helps her calm down and find her happy place during dreary moments.<br />---

Backstory: In the outskirts of Canterlot, in a small cottage near the main gate of the city, a pink unicorn mare was born. Her father Brass Shield (an earth pony blacksmith) and her mother Faith (a wanderer unicorn healer) were both very devoted to the royal sister of the sun, Celestia. Thus, the name Celestial Sun was given to their daughter in honor of their beloved Princess.<br /><br />Soon after her birth, her mother departed on a personal journey and left behind the blacksmith to take care of their daughter. Despite that, Celes, as she was then nicknamed and, subsequently, most known for, lived the first years of her life peacefully. She was a dedicated student and had a calm, quiet personality that stood out from the rest of her colleagues. However, this calm characteristic also prevented her from making friends, which hindered her social skills for the upcoming years.<br /><br />Since her father didn't have an exceptionally well-paying job, the two of them always lived a very humble lifestyle. When Celes was not studying, she would assist Brass Shield in forging and sharpening armors and weapons. Like that, they built an extremely strong relationship between them.<br /><br />During a period of harsh winter, Celes used her magic to create a campfire for the first time. Once she managed to ignite a few pieces of broken wooden planks, she and her father embraced and, together, endured the cold. It was then that the unicorn mare discovered great interest in fire spells, receiving a Cutie Mark as proof.<br /><br />Currently, Celes continues to live in Canterlot where she keeps studying. In order to pass the time, she enjoys going outside in the garden and burning twigs, dry leaves and whatnot. She often travels to other cities, as a way to experience new things and also in hopes of some day reuniting with her mother.<br />---
