Appearance: Green coat with white and grey mane. The mane and tail are straight haired, but short.
Clockwork sports a pair of mechanical wings he built for himself, and wears a black bowler.
Cutie Mark: A set of 3 sprockets linked. One is missing a tooth.
Personality: Clockwork is a quirky character, he has strange and twisted sense of humour. Much like his hobby of fixing and taking apart clocks, he enjoys creating chaos, and rebuilding order from the disharmony.
Backstory: Clockwork lived most of his life with his father, Tinker Tok, building clocks and watches for their family shop in Canterlot. One day his friends began fighting, and became so angry, they split ways. Clockwork, seeing this, stepped in and talked to both of them. He convinced them to give each other another shot, and in the end, fixed their friendship. But not all was well, because this success went to Clockwork's head, realizing he had a special gift. He began seeking disharmony, and even creating it, for the thrill of fixing something. Soon, he was caught for the problems he was causing, and forced to stop.

Clockwork began to stop caring for repairing broken bonds, and began a new obsession of building new situations out of the chaos he created within old ones. His creativity followed suit, as he began building new inventions and mechanisms out of machines he'd tear apart for pieces. He had begun to travel down a dangerous path into insanity.

Clockwork's journey through chaos brought him to a new and ambitious goal. He had an understanding of many different technologies, and had intimate knowledge of steam engines and the mechanisms of analogue timers. He eventually began toying with simple computers, building machines that could quickly calculate numbers. These were basic compared to any modern computer, but would be the ground work for something much bigger. Once he'd perfected his computer system, he began working on shrinking the design as much as possible, and managed to create one small enough to fit in a saddle bag.

The next thing Clockwork created, brought discord between the race of Pegasi and the others. He hadn't intended it, though he reveled in the thought of it all. His assistant, Nova Strings, who had been his closest friend through all of his life, was a very skilled unicorn. She was well practiced in surgical procedures, and could manipulate particles at the quantum level with her magic. Nova aided Clockwork in attaching the invention to Clockwork's back, a set of brass wings. She skillfully connected them to his nervous system and skeletal structure.

Clockwork's invention later led to his exile from Canterlot. Having caused so much disharmony between the races, the royal family deemed it best to have Clockwork's inventions forcefully subjugated and destroyed. This was not an option for Clockwork. He packed his things, and filled what he could into a cart, loading all of his blueprints and writings into cases. He would set up shop in a new city to continue his work, out of the oppressive hands of the Canterlot royalty. Nova Strings followed him, loyal as ever, or brainwashed, nopony could tell the difference. She had disappeared for some time before the invention had been revealed, and wasn't the same. Everypony suspected something had happened to her, not able to blame Clockwork, but were highly suspicious that he'd been responsible for the change.

They traveled to Dodge City, on the outskirts of Equestrian royal land. There, Clockwork took up his new workshop. It was bigger and better than the last. His new study into magic lead him to inventing the Magitech battery. A special device designed to store magic which could be used at the press of a button. The creation was limited though, only specific spells could be stored in a battery at once, and they would only last for so long before requiring recharging from a unicorn's horn. This would surely drive a spike into the harmony between Unicorns and other ponies, just as his wings had singled out the pegasi. He knew this, but made no effort to hide his work. Blinded with pride for his ingenuity and creativity. Soon, he knew this would become his greatest invention.
